Owen Jones Decorative Borders CD-ROM and Book (Dover Electronic Clip Art)

This Design book has some great designs but is heavily Victorian and does not have other design styles-even the Egyptian designs are basically "the 1870's Egyptian revival" style. However there are some wonderful designs and it is a great source for graphic and surface designers.

I was searching for a book with borders from Dover that were more decorative. This book certainly didn't disappoint! The borders are rich and elegant, and provide medieval charm. There are also several unique decorative letters of each letter in the alphabet to add beauty to your document. This would be perfect for scrapbookers, certificate makers, and other designers!

Haven t tried the cd yet but the book is beautiful and colorful, easy to xerox. Glad I got it

Nearly all of the borders in this book are asymmetric, which, of course, you can't tell until you've purchased the book and received it. Three sides are of even width, one side is much thinner than the rest. Great if this is your thing, but not great if you want a normal border. Once enlarged in a photo editing program to 100% the quality of the images is terrible.
