Titan 12710 Tamper Proof Star Key Set (Тwo Рack)

I didn't want to spend the money on a Wera set, trying to save a few bucks. The key set I received looks exactly like the green Titan set shown. Photo's are accurate.The main issue I had with the set I received is a quality control problem. Each wrench is separated by a small metal washer. As I was opening the set, I was jabbed in the thumb by something sharp. On close inspection, I saw that one of the washers had sharp burrs or pieces sticking out of it. This was also causing the two wrenches it was seated between to be very tight and hard to open. The fix was easy enough, but I'd have appreciated it more if I hadn't had to fix the tool that was purchased to fix something else.The other issue is with some of the smaller keys. The holes in the center of a few of the keys are extremely tight. This makes for a tough time in getting the key in the slot of the bolt.Chalking this one up to, "I should have known better and spent the extra money on a good set."

Very well made. Materials seem high-quality, and everything holds in place well during use. No complaints just yet.Update: materials were apparently not as good as I had initially thought. The heads in some of the smaller bars have either twisted, or, in one case, completely torqued of.

This was exactly what I was looking for. If you work regularly with the star screw heads then you will want a better set with separate handles. But if you just need, like me, something small in your toolbox or workbench for those infrequent occasions when you encounter them, then this tool is the ticket. Appears to be well-built for occasional light duty.One day we will find and eliminate the last design engineer who thinks it is funny to specify these heads, but until then this tool will ease the annoyance.

Has a sturdy holder that they are all mounted to and the whole thing is sturdy built and put together but the problem with it is the holes that are drilled into the center of each tool so it fits a security fastener are not big enough and they are all not centered. The smaller size you go the worse it gets. So the last 3 or 4 sizes are absolutely worthless because they don't fit because of this problem. I will probably be able to drill the holes bigger which at the same time get them centered a bit better and then at least i wont have a tool that is 50 % worthless. It will be a decent tool after I spend some time fixing the manufactures defects that either their quality control missed that is if they have one or maybe they had just fallen asleep or something. i do not know why someone or why a company would put out a tool and sell it in this kind of condition when it does not work for what this tool is actually intended for. it works as a star tool but i didnt purchase one of those. i already own a few sets of those. I needed a tool that would loosen and tighten security fasteners but unfortunately i didnt get one!

Did the job that I needed them to do. The are not very long, and I had to dissasemble them to use in the space that it was needed. That was my fault for not reading the posted Questions about the length. Despite that they worked well and seem to be holding up. Will see how they fair in the workbox. Not gonna hold my breath that the size printing on the side of the tool will last. The sizes are not etched, they are printed.

I love just about almost everything this tool has to offer and it's quality. Great for any Torx, Star Screw or Tamper-Res Torx screw in the sizes offered! Plus a beautifully crafted look, great functionality, and high quality alloys. Plus a Lifetime Warranty!The ONLY complaints are: 1. I noticed once I received my 2nd order (2nd tool) the first one had arrived with a heavy scratch mark dented and scraped into the green aluminum holder on the Number side ( T6, T7, T8, T9, T10, T11 etc) which the second one I ordered did not! The second is flawless out of box. I think I might even have pictures of the first one unboxing process, I wonder if you could see the scratch in that one.Overall NOT a big deal really at all. 2. I just wish it offered a T4, and T5 size offered (Mainly T4) since I heard a lot of older-school pocket knives (what I use these tools for mainly) use T4. But right now every knife I own uses either Just T8, or more often a combo of T6 and T8 Torx screw heads for hardware.Thanks for the great product Titan! So good I bought a second ;D

These things are cheap as can be,if I could give 0 stars I would...first off the center pin isnt centered in most,second its made of terrible quality metal.(twisted an end right off)...kicker is was at Wal-Mart,saw a stanley set for about the same price,got it and have been happy since.dont make the mistake I did.

Star Key tools are sometimes used to keep users out of internal parts of an appliance. There are many sizes of this tool and I needed a size I didn't have and this tool had the one I needed. It is a high quality tool and I'm happy to add it to my tool box. I needed to replace the lamp in my microwave oven, and thanks to this tool I can now see what is cooking in the microwave.
