Weighing 16.8 oz (477 g) per shoe, built for automotive industry, this non-conductive ESD work shoe offers a breathable mesh, non-mutilating upper. With KEEN.ReGEN midsole for all-day comfort, a slip-resistant, non-marking outsole, and aluminum toes. Also built off of KEEN’s traditional wider footwear form. The Sparta ESD does come with a removable insole; however, if swapped for a different insole it could void the ESD protection safety standards. KEEN Utility recommends sticking with the standard insole it comes with. All KEEN Utility products use a natural, probiotic-based technology called CleansportNXT for breaking down odor in sweat; while also sourcing leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). KEEN Utility believes in creating work boots that make work and life better. In effort to further support that mission, KEEN Utility has been “Putting Good to Work” through its non-profit partnerships within the Project Build program. From helping put veterans back on their feet to supporting conversation corps work across the country.

Comfortable and lightweight
Great value. Stylish and lightweight. They even have static dissipation if you need that. Feet stay relatively cool compared to similar shoes.

All day comfort, light, breathable, safety toe shoes.
I've been wearing Keen work boots and shoes for 8 years now. I've always cycled between the Detroit low and mid for different seasons, but I wanted something a bit more light and airy for the hot summer where my shop typically hits 90-95 by 3pm. Ugh.Out of the box, they fit and feel pretty much like comfy yet sturdy tennis shoes, like new balances. Obviously they weigh a touch more than regular shoes, but not much. Thankfully I haven't REALLY tested the safety toe on these shoes, however I'm assuming they're just as safe as the ones in the Detroit boots which I tested with having a 280lb engine drop from a faulty cherry picker right onto my foot several years back. Ever since that day, I don't risk regular shoes in the shop. The lace holes look to be reliable, possibly even reinforced which was a gripe I had with the Detroit low shoes and their loops that eventually tear. The included laces are a bit dynamic and stay tight without double knotting which is nice. The mesh outer collects dirt like a magnet, but they blow clean with an air gun easily enough.I like these shoes enough and they're comfortable enough where I wear them outside of work plenty. Big part of the reason I stick with Keens that last 2 years instead of something like Redwing that might last longer at the expense of comfort.

Second month in, so far so good
I got these as we have a work requirement for safety toe shoes on those uncommon occasions where I head into the warehouse. I'm usually at my desk doing any number of tasks, so I opted for a lightweight alloy toe shoe-- I figure it's like a foam bike helmet. I still have a pair of leather Keen shoes I bought about 10 years ago, so I figured I would give these a shot. The feel is secure, with a bit of roominess in the toe box. I appreciate shoes that don't squish my toes together, because otherwise I get blistered toes. At the same time it doesn't feel like I'm sliding around in the shoes, they feel secure and comfy. I tend to get arch fatigue after long walks (like at trade shows and conventions), and I don't feel the insoles being particularly supportive there, but I don't plan on going to conventions with these. These claim to be rated for ESD, but I don't have an environment designed to take advantage of that feature, and I still get static zaps unless I'm hooked up to an ESD strap. Maybe if I set up a workstation complete with ESD dissipating floor I'll see how effective these shoes are.One thing I wish was better is breathability. The interior turns into a sauna rather easily, compelling me to pull the shoes off and air them out at least once a day. This might be a thing with safety toe work shoes, but it was a bit of a bummer.

Not as good as they use to be
Bought a pair in January and with in a week the tongue fell off one of the shoes. Dealt with that for 6 months, and then bought a new pair in july....the damn sole is coming off at the heel...never had this happen before.Have bought these shoes and liked them, but when they don't hold up, it's time to move one. I'd be weary of buying these shoes.

Great lightweight work shoe with safety toe.
These fit well and are very comfortable. They are lightweight and so far have been durable.

Great comfortable work shoe
I work in a warehouse, and I routinely walk 15+ miles a day. All other steel toe shoes I have tried have made my feet hurt whether it's not enough arch, not enough space in the toe box, not enough cushion, or my heels rub raw. These shoes don't do any of that. They are the most comfortable so far. They have just enough cushion that I can walk all day with little discomfort. And they look great too! I have had more comfortable shoes, but not of the safety variety. I would recommend these shoes to anybody that needs a pair with enough comfortability to get you through a long day, with all of the added safety features included. Overall, I would say this shoe gets a 9/10 from me. Maybe just a little bit extra cushion would be nice, but still very doable.

Comfortable shoes, bad quality
The grommet holes that your shoe strings go through come out easily and the string will start to tear the shoe material. If you wear a size 12, I recommend you order a 13. Other than that, it’s a fairly comfortable work shoe.
