GERMAN BASS BOW FIBERGLASS HALF-LINED FROG LEATHERETTE GRIP - 3/4

This has been an exceptional purchase for my daughter who is in elementary school. She finds holding the German style bow much easier than the traditional. Her instructor commented on what a well made bow it is and was shocked to find the price so reasonable. He said he will be recommending this style for future students of all ages. We have had the bow for a year now and the hair has stayed in tact quite well. We did have to use a bit more rosin in the beginning but the sound is perfect!

Well made in the Bronx of all places. Excellent balance and responsiveness. Hair tension easily adjusted and remains taut throughout session.

Does the job just fine for a student

I just started learning to use a bass bow. I love the fact that this one is a composite. I live in a super humid climate. So... this was an ideal choice. I don't have to worry about it breaking of warping. I started learning with a French bow. But... after some research, I decided the German style bow and grip would feel more natural. Turns out, I was right. But... like I said... I just started learning the German style and grip. All I have to compare it to is the French violin bow that I started with. Who would have thought that it's significantly harder to bow a bass with a violin? Hahahah! Basically, I could t be happier.
