SO much useful information!
My wife and I are currently in the market for a new dog. There are a few different ways that we are researching which dogs would be right for us. We decided that we would each pick one dog to research, and then share the information with each other. I chose the Doberman. Just as the title suggests, this is a total guide to all things Doberman! I learned so much about this dog, from the origins all the way down to the temperament. While ultimately we decided that a Doberman is not the dog for us, we would not have been able to make such an informed decision had it not been for this wonderful resource! If you're looking to learn more about Dobermans, I would definitely recommend downloading this book. I feel like an expert on the subject now!

Great Informative guide on owning a Doberma Pinscher
Mark Manfield provides an exemplary and comprehensive description of the Doberman Pinscher in all its aspects as well as comparing physical characteristics with close relatives, all arising from the Doberman lineage. His history is fascinating as are his descriptions of this dog’s work. Loved the section on temperament and dog depression, not often discussed. His recommendations and warnings with respect to breeders and puppy mills are right on, as is the case with his other books. He goes on to discuss at length other more economical means of purchasing this potentially costly breed and the real-life concerns having this dog in one’s home interacting with children and other pets.A complete and well written guide for anyone considering a sharing a home with a Doberman Pinscher or one of its close relatives.

Good information
This was a pretty good book about Dobermans. Having owned 6 I found the information to be good. It could’ve had more information about cropped ears and their maintenance.

I had one long ago
We loved our Doberman back in the late 70’s. These are beautiful animals, faithful, active and loving. I liked reading the history as it seems they came from many different breeds. The US marines used them in WW11, they are great guard dogs. Lovely family pets when socialized from a pup. I like to look at rescues first. Enjoy!

Packed full of useful information for purchasing and getting started with a new Doberman Pinscher dog
The guide goes beyond getting started and has much information on the history of the breed, its feeding, care, pros, and cons. It is a great book for finding out if this type of dog is right for you. They are very beautiful, and I can see why they would have been sought out by nobility. This is definitely a must-have!

The author also provided a well detailed description about the characteristics and temperament of a Doberman Pinscher. I find the pictures incorporated in this book interesting and good to look at. Week content,
The book is easy to read, however I was unfortunately dissappointed. The book is written as for the dummies. Indeed, all the basic info written, without details. In a manner- in paragraph of the training- “yes, you can and you should train your dobbie”. A lot of the info time to time is repeated. In addition- Table of contents for this small book occupies around 4 pages from 121 in total. And there are pictures as well. I would call this exceeded number of page brochure. Conclusion- not worth that money.

Not Much Information
Very little information in this book. A simple google search on Dobermans can net you more info on the first page.
