The Creative Edge: Art Exercises to Celebrate Your Creative Self Paperback – March 11, 2015

Giving simple directions, the author helps you explore new media and techniques. It's not completely step by step; there is plenty of latitude and there are samples to use as a general guide. Your finished product might like similar or completely different. The author encourages self exploration of the medium. I made two really lovely pieces and some that were nice. There were some failures (or rather learning experiences😂) usually from me wandering far off the beaten path but EVERY LESSON WAS FUN, which is, for me, the general idea. Plus I have more tools to use in future art.

An easy to do, step-by-step set of experiments to loosen up one's creativity. I gave this to my niece who loved it, and then I bought another one for myself.

Too basic and repetitive. Maybe my expectations were too high. I returned it.
