Strap, Webbing (Sternum Cinch), NSN 8465-01-600-7965, for USMC FILBE Pack

This turned out to be a mystery ranch strap which is a bonus! Fit well to replace a broken strap on the chief pack. If it is a little long you can roll the webbing over the stiffener on one side or both if needed. Solid strap with emergency release.

The item has the same NSN as well as the same color pieces at the ends. The description picture has black pieces at the end but they are confirmed brown pieces. They exactly match the item I was shown at Camp Lejeune, IIF.The picture with the wood countertop background is the item from IIF taken at IIF during my initial checkout. The picture with the white background is this item purchased from Amazon.I will update this review November 1, 2019. After confirming it is good at Camp Lejeune IIF.::November 1, 2019 update::Confirmed, Camp Lejeune IIF takes this item with the black tips/coyote tips. They take both.

From a Sgt in the United States Marine Corps, I am a Supply Marine so I verified the NSN before ordering. Upon receiving the item there is a stitched on patch that has the exact same NSN that is supposed to be turned into CIF. It was smooth sailing turning this into CIF on Camp Lejeune and saved me the pain of doing a missing gear statement. It is $19.24 if you do a missing gear statement, so it would save you money, but I personally didn't have the time to go that route so I spent the $56 and called it a day.

Holy crap this made life in a ruck so much better! This made carrying my 90lb ruck so much better. Transferred the strap weight more center, relieved the blood flow constriction completely - no more tingling fingers or fatigued shoulders from the strain on them.
