Great Fun for New Readers
I use these "Tiny" books when I volunteer with my therapy dog. The inner city 1st grade students LOVE trying to read them. I have bought myself a set to use, and now I am buying the school library a set to have for the students, as one reader exclaimed, "I wish I could have a book like this!"

Fun stories with an engaging character make for excellent beginning readers
My 5-year-old was initially drawn to this series of books featuring Tiny the dog because he reminded her of Clifford the Big Red Dog. Tiny is a dog, but unlike his name, he is HUGE. Though the stories do not feature many characters, mainly Tiny and his owner, a young boy, the stories are simple and engaging. In "Tiny Goes to the Library", Tiny the dog wishes to go to the library with his owner. Unfortunately, there's a "No Dogs" policy at the library. The pair then figure out a creative way for Tiny to share in the library experience. The Tiny stories are vividly illustrated in full color which will motivate young children, especially visual learners. The sentences are simple in structure and repetitive which makes this an ideal series for beginning readers (Level 1), and the visual clues provided within the illustrations enable children to figure out words by themselves. The elements of predictability and familiar sight words serve to encourage early readers and keep them interested. My daughter's reading aptitude has improved with books like the Tiny stories!

The Tiny Books are Great for Beginning Readers
The Tiny books are outstanding for beginning readers. The pictures in the book correlate well with the story and help the new reader figure out the words they may not know. My beginning reader loves these books and she's read them many times. In this book, Tiny and his owner go the library where his owner finds books on dogs, books on frogs, etc. Also, every page has a little blue bird that my daughter loves to find. Overall, I highly recommend these and hope that there are many more to come!
