Little Rabbit Foo Foo

Growing up, I LOVED reading Little Rabbit Foo Foo, so I bought this book for my 5 year old nephew. He absolutely loves it, however, I couldn't help but to notice that there is a very obvious typo (or just spelling difference?) as compared to my old 90s paperback (which I still have!). In the older book, each time the good fairy comes down, she tells Little Rabbit Foo Foo that she's going to turn him into a "goon." In this newer version (bought in December 2020), she says she's going to turn him into a "goonie" instead. It just doesn't have the same sound, to be honest! On the last page of the new version, however, it still reads "Hare today, goon tomorrow" just like my older version. No idea why it's different, but just a heads up. I wish I wouldn't known before buying - I would've looked for a copy of the older version!

This book came into our home about 30 years ago...and it's just a fun read with fun illustrations... Just fun to read out loud to the little kids and while reading put a bit of movement to the words...and when people used to read this out loud to my daughter when she was young she would just laugh and laugh....some people may not like the reference to "Bop them on the Head" in the book but in the end the Good Fairy shows the Little Rabbit that Misbehaving has it's penalties....LOL So it was always a teaching moment in our family that it's not nice to "Bop them on the head" As with all books...usually there can be a teaching moment of some sort. Taught my daughter to not Bop anyone...that it was naughty...Age 3-5 good lesson when interacting with the neighbor kids....you may feel like Bopping someone on the head...but, it is not a good thing to do...and it will have consequences!!!

I've had this book since I was 3 (I'm now 23) and read it every night! Then my sister had a baby and when she got older on nights I would tuck her in I would read to her. No matter how many other books I brought to her, and had her pick from. This was the book she loved most and would make me read every single night!We would start off with this one. Read another book. And end with this one!She loved it so much she wanted my much loved copy. But I was reluctant to give it to her. My copy is falling apart everywhere, pages ripped, cover nearly off, stained. It's truly a well-loved mess!As she got older she wanted to read to me but I didn't want her to read from my copy because it was in such bad shape. So one year for Christmas I decided to get her, her very own hard-covered copy.Out of all the spoiling she got from her grandparents/parents/relatives/etc...THIS is the gift that stood out to her. She was so happy getting it that she grabbed her 1 year old sister and started reading this book to her.It's such a fun book that I would recommend for every age! This is the book that for me fostered a life-long love for reading. And now has my niece sharing her love for this book with her younger sibling. (You also can't beat the price!)

I bought this book long ago from Scholastic. I have raised 4 children to this book. We enjoy fun sounds and storyplay along with the traditional rhythm. I brought this book into our elementary school's read-along and even the older children enjoyed the story. The last time I shared this book with a 5th grade class, the story (and song) lasted over a week during lunch and recess, with many 5th graders from other classes enjoying the 'good fairy' as well. Many children today don't get to go to summer camp and learn the old tunes we grew up with. I find myself looking to buy another copy because our old paperback can only last so long! I highly recommend this book.

Love this story, and was hoping to get the original version. Instead I got one where the good fairy is a guy in a woman costume. Very displeased.

A favorite bedtime read for our young family. Verses are simple for young ones to remember and then read/sing themselves. Definitely recommend.

This book was requested by my grandson who wanted it for his 2year old. He remembered me reading it to him when he was little, and he wanted to read it to his daughter. Sweet memories....

My 18 month old loves this book. It goes everywhere with him. I have to read it on average 6x a day as he chucks it into my face. He thinks it's hilarious. It's great to see him laughing and turning the pages. I hope this book helps him progress to other books eventually because as much as I loved it the first 60x I can feel my sanity dribble away....

Superb book. Very simple story of a cheeky rabbit who is given multiple chances to change his behaviour and then suffers the consequences! My kids adore this story and the illustrations. If you have a look on you tube there are narrated videos of the book in which the text is sung and this is how i usually read the story to my kids. This is a firm favourite in our house (boys aged 5 and 6 years old).

Bought this for my grandson and he absolutely loves it. One of those ageless/timeless books which I'm hoping he will pass on to his children one day. Arrived in plenty of time and in excellent condition; thanks

I ordered this because it's my daughters favourite book at nursery. She loves the story, knows it well enough to tell me what the words should be and especially loves the ending.I'd never heard of this book but just for the amount of pleasure it gives my little one I would highly recommend it.

I buy this for anyone with kids. It’s simply magical to sit and read this with them. They love it, I love it, even though without exaggeration I have read it 100s and hundreds of times. NOT a going to sleep book as it’s so much fun.
