Best performance simple install for XT250
As long as you have a socket set with two rachet wrenches, a torch wrench, and 30mm socket this install will be no effort. This part has been very effective, and has made 1st and 2nd gear longer and much smoother. Torque has little to no change in lower gears, and highway performance is much more bearable. If you like turning wrenches, and adding better performance to your motorcycle this is a must buy part.

Fast Service, Great Part
Purchased for my Yamaha XT250. It was easy to install and has improved my gear ratio by making first actually useful compared to the stock 15 teeth sprocket. Highly recommended.

Good
Got this for my Yamaha xt250. Read from many people that it slightly increased top speed and brought the notoriously inaccurate speedometer to accuracy. It worked. I like the gearing now. I was concerned that I’d lose some low end tractoring performance, but it doesn’t seem to have impacted this all that much.

Works on my XT250. Did not increase my overall top speeds.
Works on my XT250.No more starting off in second gear.I got this to extend my top speed, but in top gear there is not enough power with any kind of incline.I do not think this will make my bike any more road worthy but I do think it will save gas.On hills my top speed has decreased when adding this extra tooth. It is not an exact match as there are no locking tabs for the bolt to engage, but it has not backed off yet.

How the xt250 should come stock
Works perfect on my 2018 XT250. The bike should come with a 16 tooth stock. Really makes higher speed highway riding bearable. No noticeable issues with 1st or 2nd gear torque.

Makes a difference
The stock sprocket I had was a 15 tooth front and I have to say this is a must have if you own a xt250. This sprocket increases acceleration and the bike can ride wheelies no problems at all.

Smooth running countershaft sprocket.
Mounted this to a 2015 Yamaha XT250 to increase fuel economy for daily commuting. Same quality as OEM sprocket. Be aware you may want to order a new retaining nut lock washer when you replace your front sprocket. (Stock sprocket is 15 teeth, this is 16.) On an XT250, you do not need to change the chain length for this conversion.

Easy to install assuming you have the 30mm socket
worked and fit perfectly. Easy to install assuming you have the 30mm socket. Added a wider width between gears and better gas mileage.
