This is more a gastro pub
As the daughter of a London's West End publican and being around pub food most of my life, the trend now is for a more gastro type pub food. With fresh cooked, large meals. A good old plain "pub" served no more than ploughmans lunches, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, several good cheeses, assoted pickles and a fresh bone in ham that was carved in front of the customer. While there are some really good recipes in this little book, it's certainly more than pub grub, I guess if they called it party food and then some it might have a more truthful ring to it.
