This has two modes,you can either have a dim light on(in the dark)then when motion is detected bright comes on or red light mode,red dot flashes on all day/nightime,bright light will come on (in the dark) when motion is detected(not in daylight),i did one thing as in the picture,just a tip,i know it's run by solar/battery but i stuck a piece of electric cable in the back of the unit ran a short wire along the brick work,you dont have to drill through the wall just an inch? i did mine going through the side of the window brick so that it just looks like it's also connected to the mains/router? as it's supposed to look like a wifi security camera with the aerial? this is just a option what i thought of?.All good,work's as it should.

TOTAL waste of time and money. easily mounted on south facing wall & gets direct sunlight, sheltered from elements & with full sun exposure. worked ok for a couple of months , started doing it's own thing for a few weeks, then stopped working completely at first sign of a colder night (not even red led) and not worked since??? paid a LOT less previously for cheaper junk that lasted way way longer. this thing installed in Aug/Sept and dead by Nov

I was sceptical that this would work given the low price point and indeed it didn’t work for a few days after installation but it was in particularly bad weather with little or no sunshine. It did come on thereafter but if you buy this I recommend a location with good access to direct sunlight or it may struggle to charge the battery. All that said I am pleased with the purchase and it’s added value as a dummy camera. I would buy more for other locations around our home.

This is the best outside light l have had, easy to understand and fit, nice bright light comes on when needed at night. Several options as to how you want to set it up. Looks the business with the aerial, very smart l would definitely recommend this Motion sensor light. Came well packed.

Bought two of these, and they were great. Unfortunately one stopped working after a month, just outside the return date....despite moving to maximum light....nothing. shame as i would have given 5 stars as the other is still excellent. Powerful light and looks like a camera.

HiI bought two of these lightand fitted one which works but the second one is faulty and I need to return it. Couldn't access address in UK but found technical support email. Offer of help to fix fault but item still faulty. Offer of half money refund but not accepted. Contacted Amazon who sorted it out immediately by refunding full price. Thanks Amazon.

The light looks good and seems to be robust. My main complaint is how awkward it is to fix it to the wall. I was led to believe that the base could be detached and fixed to the wall and the light could then be re-attached. Not so, and it was therefore awkward to drill and screw in the retaining screws with the main light in the way. I installed it a couple of weeks ago, so it has had limited time for the battery to become fully charged. Hence the light emitted is weak although the motion detection seems to work OK. I'll therefore have to wait a few months before I can say that the light emits 800 lumens as advertised !Update 21.2.21Waste of money - don't buy ! Only one of the 3 lights I bought ever emitted a scintilla of light, whatever the strength of the sun. Even the one that did produced a very weak light.

I like this. Very robust construction and it does exactly what I want. Additional feature is flashing red led which can be seen a long distance away at night to warn people of its presence. It could be brighter but is quite sufficient as a deterrent and for lighting up the path to my door.
