Gates 90K-38274B Complete Serpentine Belt Drive Component Kit

I’m very impressed with this kit. All of the parts were metal, zero plastic. My 2008 F150 with the 5.4 Triton sounded like it was possessed by demons. It would howl and whine/whistle when the engine was cold regardless of the outside temperature. Even in 100° temps it would whine like a banshee upon startup. After doing some research I figured it was either the belt tensioner pulley or one of the idler pulleys. The bearings start to go and they make that whining noise. I figured I would just replace them all, including the belt, and call it good for several years. This kit had everything I needed. All parts fit perfectly and the entire job took me about an hour. Even though I meticulously studied the serpentine belt diagram I had to mess with the belt a couple of times to get it right. Now my truck is quiet and no more demons! When all was said and done, the culprit was the belt tensioner pulley. The three other pulleys (2 smooth and one ribbed) were still fine and spun freely but why go to all that work just to do it again in six months or a year? I’ll take the peace of mind for 100 bucks any day.

I had a loud bearing noise for awhile now. I was hoping it was an idler pulley or the tensioner. Watched a few videos. Looked easy enough. Old belt came of easy. Idler pulleys were harder, but not too difficult. Tried to put the new belt on from the top. Forget it. Not an easy task. Some of the videos say go through the bottom. Wide open are. What they didn't show you was that they had to move the fan shroud and take off the fan. Once I did that, it was pretty easy. Put everything back on, fired up the engine and the bearing noise was gone. In my case, it was the idler pulley on the passenger side. The others were okay but if you are going to do this job, you might as well replace them all.

Fixed my squeaky pulleys. And comes with a new belt. Easy install. Fit perfect on my (‘08) 11th gen F150 5.4.

If you need to replace a wheel , belt or pully. Buy this kit and replace everything. Take care or it in one job.

Fit my truck perfectly

At 152K the old 4.7 needed some front engine parts. Gates is my go to even though probably Chinese made. Car getting radiator, hoses and water pump.Great engine.

Everything worked as expected and the build quality seemed excellent. Has been installed and running for well over a month and everything is working perfect.

I used this kit on my 2009 Lincoln Navigator. All parts fit perfectly and took care of all the noises I had on cold start up. Has been on the vehicle since December 2020 and 5000km with no issues.

Was happy and surprised to see it’s all made in Canada! Perfect fitment.
