My boys love this car
My boys love this car. They love anything Ninjago, so this is another great toy. There are a lot of pieces- so it definitely takes a while to put together. My boys like how the back comes off and opens up. Very cool Lego!

He loved the multi-component aspect of the set
This kept my 6-year-old busy for a couple of days. He loved the multi-component aspect of the set. Great price for the number of pieces.

Good minifigures..but a serious flaw in this set
Before buying this set, I already had about nine of the NINJAGO sets from this wave. And since I’m like a completist , I bought this one.Now I rarely give such a rating to any LEGO set but I had a very valid reason for it, which I will explain later as the review progresses. This set contains six minfigures (Nya, Garmadon, Kai, Pytor, Chop’rai, Kapau), the DB X vehicle and a small build that indicates an Anacondrai gateway .First thing, the box design. The box is in red color and the logo contains Kai. I didn’t like the box design. Simply because it’s the same that LEGO has used some years ago. They could have used some other character in the logo. The new orange ninja or a bad guy from the Anacondrai tribe would have been good. Anyway, not a big deal. Also, on the front, bottom right side, you see the images of the minifigures in the set but you don’t see the names displayed below them. Generally in a LEGO set, the names are displayed in the front but I don’t know why this time for Ninjago , LEGO didn’t follow this pattern. Guess it’s not a big deal as on the top of the box, the names of the included characters are displayed.Coming to the minifigs. Kai has very nice printing on his torso and legs. And on the mask too. His sword-holster is nice but there’s a small problem with it. His katana fits very loosely into the holster. As a result whenever you try to play with this minifig and tilt it a bit, the sword slips out. It’s little irritating. Now we already get Kai (with this exact same printing) in another set 70745 “Anacondrai Crusher” . Since this is a bog and expensive set, LEGO should have given a minifig exclusive to this set rather than Kai. It’s not mandatory to include one of the main ninjas in every Ninjago set.Nya has beautiful printing on her.Her helmet piece is very nice. Didn’t like her shoulder armor though. She has two sided face. One side is the usual human face while the other side is like a robotic face, which is great. Overall, an awesome minifig. One of the best in this wave. One of the reasons for buying this set.Garmadon also looks quite good. Nice printing on his torso (front and back) but not much on his legs. One good thing about the printing on his back is that his robe is torn on the back and there’s a snake print visible through it. Nice printing on the face..the eyebrows are the main detail there. His hair piece is good , though it’s exactly the same as worn by his son Lloyd (in the set 70755 “Jungle Raider”) , but this one is in grey color. Garmadon carries the staff, that we have seen a million times. When is LEGO going to come up with a new staff design? There is a micro build for robot Auto. Now as per the box, Auto is another minifigure which I refuse to agree. It’s a micro build, NOT a minifigure. But it’s a decent build. Very creative and looks nice. One of the better such robot-builds from LEGO.Now the bad guys. Pythor is AWESOME! I love the snake minifigs in Ninjago. Fantastic headpiece. Lovely lower body/tail piece. Good printing overall on the minifig. This is definitely the main draw for this set, no doubts about that. But I have one complaint about this minifig. There was a small crack on one side of the neck, just behind the head. I was disappointed to see it. In my country, LEGO products are 1.5 times the price of that in US, UK and other countries but still I buy LEGO frequently. And so when I see such issues, it’s very disappointing. Anyway, got to live with it. Pythor carries a sword. It’s the big sword and for the first time, in LEGO ,it’s in a dark tan color. It looks very good. Chop’rai is another serpentine minifig and he also looks fantastic. His armor is VERY good! A new design introduced this year, in this theme . The bone elements in this armor really add to it's appeal. The back of the armor is like a skeletal-spine which is very cool. His torso and lower body have excellent printing. Chop’rai carries an assembled weapon which looks ok.Kapau is a great looking minifigure! Very good design and printing on him, especially on the head and torso. His snake skull helmet (or whatever it's called) is fantastic! A new accessory introduced this year and it's become one of my favorites! Kapau carries the Anacondrai sword. Another great accessory introduced for first time in this wave of Ninjago. It contains two colors and looks very good! One good thing about this set is that the number of good guys and bad guys are almost matched. So you can have a nice fair battle. The Anacondrai Gateway is a pretty decent little build. The round printed brick looks great. Yet another beautiful accessory introduced in this wave of Ninjago. One has to commend the LEGO designers for this. Generally, it’s not often that LEGO fans get to see a lot of new accessories introduced in one wave of a theme. The two stickers used in this build also add to it’s appeal.Coming to the DBX vehicle. When I first saw this vehicle, I was like dazzled by it, especially for two reasons. One is it’s color scheme. Red and black, with gold thrown in, is a winning color combination. Second, are it’s huge black wheels, with gold parts (the spinner accessories and Chinese-style hat) in their centre. After I finished getting dazzled over it, I realized that the overall look of this vehicle isn’t appealing. In fact, it looks bit weird. At least, if this vehicle looked like a truck , it would still be good, but currently it’s bit disappointing. The vehicle doesn’t have a roof, which is another drawback. Hard to imagine such a big vehicle without a roof! And in the box art, this fact is cleverly hidden! The back section of this vehicle can be removed and it serves as a communication centre. It contains three computer panels, which are actually stickers. It also contains a small training area like section. There’s also weapons and tools in this section. There’s a communication tower that contains a detachable flyer for Nya. The flyer is okay, just a basic build. The good thing about this flyer is that it contains two stud shooter bricks. There’s also a red bike in this set for Kai. This bike can be fit into the training section area of the command centre. Now , if you are still curious as to my less rating of this set, it’s (obviously) because of the vehicle. This vehicle has a serious flaw in it’s build/design. The entire back section of the truck is removable. And at least thrice it has happened that when I tried to remove this section, the build itself came apart. Parts of the section was attached to the truck and some pieces fell off when I was removing. This is definitely unacceptable. I’m an adult who’s buying and building LEGO frequently since four years. And I have NEVER had this issue with any other LEGO set. So I’m sure this issue has nothing to do with my building skills. I wish the designers had tested this properly before release. In my country LEGO products are one and a half times more than in US and Europe but still that doesn’t deter me from buying LEGO. But I do get angry when after paying huge amount, there’s a serious flaw in a set. Anyway. I just gave a honest opinion. I know die-hard Ninjago fans are going to buy this anyway. To wrap up, the main draw are three exclusive minifigures in this set (Pythor, Garmadon and Nya). If you can get these minifigures separately from somewhere you can easily avoid buying this set. It’s not just because I faced a problem with the build, I didn’t like this set also because the look of the vehicle, the main attraction of this set, is a let-down.

Give it a pass if you can!
Unless u want to specifically buy this product, I won't recommend it...Lego has much better range in 'City', 'Technic', 'Star Wars', etc.... My son loves Lego and I buy a lot of them... but didn't quiet like the 'Ninjago'
