Practical - handle with care
It's a very good product, easy to use but you have to be extra careful to use it. If you don't find out in advance how to use it, don't use it. It's very important to know exactly how to use it. There is a part of a cat's nail that's called "quick". If you cut it your cat will be in a LOT of pain. Just be very very CAREFUL. As my daughter is very good with handling my cat she managed to cut my cat's claws without much of a struggle. But she did it in sessions. You should do the hands first then do the feet after about at least five minutes. Overall a very good purchase.

Easy to use - excellent value
I ordered these claw sissors because I noticed that my cat was having a problem with her claws getting caught on carpets & furnishings. Hardly surprising considering she is 20 years old & doesn't go outdoors as much as she used to. Must admit I was expecting it to be an absolute nightmare trying to trim her claws, but I was so wrong! When they arrived, Dixie was asleep on the doormat, so I thought I'd try them straight away. She barely took any notice when I did her first front paw, then sat up and quite happily let me do the other one. The back paws were a slightly different matter, I did have to get someone to hold her still while I did them. Never having trimmed her claws before, I was very careful to make sure I only cut the very tips. The scissors really were quick and easy to use - and such brilliant value for money!

Training required!
I am a first time cat owner and resorted to buying these when we moved house and had to keep our cat in for an extended period to settle into new surroundings. (His claws got very long and it was painful when he nestled in!) If you are lucky your cat will be dozy and you can do one nail at a time. But you must get the clippers the right way round and at the right angle (otherwise it does not give a clean cut.) But with a bit of practice it saves on a trip to the vets! Good VFM.

Splits claws, doesn't trim them. Loose fitting so you cannot get a clean cut.
As a veterinary nurse, I clip a lot of claws but always have to go on the hunt for a pair of clippers. Seeing these as an add-on item, I bought these to use in practice. Sadly, the clippers are loosely held together which results in the patient's claw splitting and not being trimmed between the blades. I have since invested in a more expensive pair.

Decent clippers
They are good and do the job on my ferrets nails but can be a little bit tricky compared to using my usual baby nail clippers, hopefully get more used to them the more I use them

Awkward to use at times but overall a bargain!
The cutters could be sharper, they struggle through cat nails I think (they are layered), but saying that they are much better than nail scissors and the majority of the cutters we've tried (ones that cost 4x this in the shops) so overall I'd say a good purchase that we're still using months later - compared to the ones we've purchased for £9.99 in Pets at Home and returned the following week due to being useless!

Great scissors.
I have struggled with 'closed in' clippers for so long, without any real headway, have had to ask vet to do it, which, of course, is very costly. So, when I saw these I thought I would give them a try. Success! Dogs don't know I've done it, it is so quick, such a change from the usual struggle. Yes, I would recommend these to anyone with small dogs. Mine are toy poodle/Lhaso Apso type size.
