Works great, looks great, noisy
Does an excellent job of cooling down my bedroom and looks great in the window. It is overly noisy to the point that it sounds cheap. A little surprising for a premium brand. I don’t mind it much as I sleep with white noise anyway but if you want a quiet unit, definitely pass on this one.

Small, affordable, SEER 12
The media could not be loaded. Small AC. It was easy to install then other 8,000 BTU heavy AC units. Not the quietest AC but better then some others out there that does not advertise quiet. It's not hot summer yet so I can't fully test it yet.Setting up the WiFi was hard because the instructions in the manual were wrong. Once you realize that you should look at the AC screen instead of the remote's lcd screen like the manual said everything becomes easy. The app is good and gives you full access from home and outside of home using your carrier's data plan. There is no monthly subscription yay. You can add more members in your family so they can also control the AC using the app however the instructions are very confusing and I was unable to add my wife.In Alexa install skill Friedrich Go app then connect to your AC. Just make sure that you have setup the Friedrich Go app in you phone and connected to the AC and then named the AC correctly before connecting to Alexa. One flaw I saw was that the electric wire comes out from the bottom of the unit. It's not a deal breaker I just don't like the electric wire being under pressure as the picture shown. Also I hear this mild sound that comes from the unit which you can hear from the video I have submitted at 10 seconds in to the video. Update: that noise goes away after a while. One improvement I wish they had was to add back light to the remote so I don't have to turn on the light to change the temperature. Oh wait it's 2019, I can either use the app in my phone or tell Alexa or Google assistant to do it without opening my eyes.So far this unit cooled my master bed room and big bathroom with it fast. It's very cool and efficient. I was going to take away 1 star but after feeling how well and quickly it cooled my room I was satisfied.Maximum cooling Watts is: 661 for those who are interested. And you can turn off all the lights in the AC so it won't hurt your eyes at night. Because it's 661 Watts the AC don't cool as fast as bigger AC out there. Which also means you can't use this unit in the Kitchen.Update July:This unit stopped cooling. Called Friedrich and they told me to call bunch of numbers. In the end none of them are willing to fix the AC.

Great Unit
I've tried several A/C units from Home Depot/Lowes over the years and the quality has been awful...those units always start off OK and deteriorate quickly...wanted to try something different that would hold up.I've had this unit for about a month, and it has performed very well. As others are saying, it's not the most quiet unit, but it's also not super loud...mainly fan noise, I hardly notice when the compressor kicks on and off. With other units I've had (LG, Frigidaire) they always wind up getting a terrible rattling or pinging sound, especially on humid days (I believe this is the external fan slapping water in the tray to cool the condenser). This unit keeps that sound to an absolute minimum. The most important part, it cools very very well. Immediately pushes out cool air and cools the room quickly and doesn't let up.I enjoy that the display can be turned off at night so it's not creating ambient light in the room. Remote works well, but does not stay "paired" with the unit i.e. if you adjust the temp on the unit's display to 66, the remote doesn't know to adjust itself. So if the last temp you set on the remote was 70, when you push up on the remote, the unit will go to 71, not 67...hope that makes sense (it's a minor inconvenience). I had no trouble setting up the wifi feature...app is convenient and easy to use.I'm feeling confident that this unit will last for the long haul...I'm tired of buying new units all the time. This feels like a quality product, will update after more time with this unit.

Phenomenal Window AC - Quiet, Powerful, Great phone app, Easy to install
This is the 2019 model.I wasn't sure what to get for my medium sized bedroom, but I needed something. I knew I wanted something high quality, powerful, and quiet. This has been perfect. Easy to install, very quiet, powerful, and the app to control it with your phone is very slick. My philosophy is get something a little more powerful than you need (slightly more BTU than the minimum recommend), and run it on low. It's extra quiet this way . This thing cools a medium size room extremely well, even on low.It doesn't look bad from the outside either, and it doesn't drip like most of the cheap ones do.I've had this thing about a month, and I couldn't be happier. Liked it so much, I ordered the 12,000 BTU model for my living room area. You won't go wrong with any of these 2019 Chill Premiers. I'm no AC expert, but this has met or exceeded all my expectations, feels like it will last for a really long time.Bonus - it's got an option to turn the display off - great for bedrooms. You can always check the display on the app to view / change the settings. The remote is also top notch, but the app is so nice I just haven't used it much. just attach it to your home network, and you can monitor / control it from anywhere.
