Ok, this is a great product and I do love it but like other reviews said.....it is not a prefect fit and you do have to do some modifications but WELL WORTH IT! I used a razer blade and cut off some of the nubs that hit the volume and power buttons. Then I rolled up a small cloth (used the one I got from the eye doctor so it could also be used to wipe the screen too) and placed it in the side to keep it nice and snug. My 2 yr has carried this around all day at times, with sticky hands and drops it alot. The case takes a beating and holds up to Apple juice well, lol! The tablet still looks and works like the first day we got it!

I really like this case except for one thing: the plastic screen protector sits underneath a transparent border, and there's just no way to clean between them.It works really well to protect the tablet, and it's much cheaper than the kid's version of the Kindle tablets.

I have an original kindle fire that I've used for YEARS and my husband just bought me a new kindle fire (he thought I needed an upgrade); so I bought this case so I could give my old kindle fire to my toddler without the fear of her breaking it. I've had this case for a few months now and my daughter loves having her own kindle and playing games on it. My daughter has dropped her kindle quite a few times and so far she hasn't caused any damage to the kindle because this case has kept it safe. I also like how this case has a built-in screen protector so the kindle doesn't get sticky fingers all over it or any scratches on the screen. I am so very glad I could find a reliable and very kid proof case for an original kindle fire after all these years. I wish Fisher Price would make a case like this for the new kindle fire because I'd buy it for my new kindle in a heart beat!

This would have been a great case IF it worked for our Kindle Fire. We ordered a 7" Fire this year (2016), it is 5th generation and not the hd version. It fit in tbe case perfectly, but once in the case, you don't have access to the ports or buttons even though there is a hole at the bottom for that purpose. this case must be for earlier generations.

The case is very durable, easy to clean and fits the Kindle fire tablet 2nd generation perfect.I have bought 5 of these Fisher Price cases and I can confirm they protect the Kindle very well. Stomping, throwing, spills and drops have all dailee to damage the Kindlea.The actual wear is when a part of the silicon bumper gets a scratch, and then the kiss alowly tear off pieces u til it is all gone. Even then, the case lasts and protects.I wish they were available for current model Kindles and phones !

My main problem with this case is that the plastic cover over the screen has bumps and catches EVERYTHING! Crumbs, sand, lint, dirt...you name it. YUCK. The plastic is not stretched tight, which causes a large extra plastic to get in the way of what you are trying to press. With a touch screen device, this is NOT helpful. I cut out the plastic and bought a regular plastic screen protector. Not as water/dirt proof anymore but it is not UN-useable either.

I have a non HD kindle fire from 2012 for my daughter. We just won it in an arcade game a week ago, so it was brand new in the box. It took a while of reading through the reviews to find the case that fits this model. If you have the regular model for your kids, this case fits perfectly, it feels very rugged, I like the screen cover to keep the front clean, it locks shut but opens easily for cleaning, and the inside is very well designed for shock absorption. I am very pleased with this cover.
