Diode worked for Ring Video Doorbell 2nd Gen
Installed this 1A 50V diode to stop the buzzing in my digital doorbell that came with my house. After 2 years of having the ring video doorbell installed, it started buzzing intermittently or constantly. On the ring website, there is conflicting info whether the 2nd Gen Ring video doorbells have an internal diode or not. I installed this diode on the ring video doorbell, with the mark on the diode arranged so that end touches the wire that goes to the doorbell, not to the wire that comes from the transformer (the transformer wire was red). It works perfectly, no buzzing! I also bought an $80 new doorbell and it still buzzed (returning it), and for less than a dollar, this diode fixed it, so I can use the original doorbell!

Finally...My doorbell is fixed
I have bought several new doorbells over the past month but none worked without holding it down and it still didn't sound right. I googled my issue and someone said it is probably the diode. So off to Amazon I go and for less than the cost of a new doorbell I get five diodes and now my doorbell works as it should.

Worked like a charm
If you are struggling to get a digital chime to work with your push button doorbell, this is what you need. worked like a charm. Just bridge the terminals in the button with the diode, connect the power wires and you are good to go

Diode Worked with Chime Doorbell
After having a Chime Doorbell installed, the doorbell’s button wouldn’t activate the chimes, unless it was pushed and held. So, I googled the problem and found out that I needed to install a diode on the button. I am glad I did, because it now chimes with just a push.

Definitely solves your chime issue. A must have if you have electric song chimes.

Fixed doorbell
Product was very easy to manipulate to install in a tight space behind doorbell. At first my doorbell wouldn't work unless I held the button down and after doing some research as to why I found out that I needed a diode. I wasn't sure which one exactly but I took a chance and ordered this and I am very glad I did. Still holding up well after about a month
