The unit is OK for my needs but the lamps stay illuminated 24/7. The original halogens burned out after 3.5 months. I found great led replacements on Amazon at GRV T10 921 194 24-5050 SMD LED Bulb lamp Super Bright Warm White AC/DC 12V -24V Pack of 2 .These should last 5+ years; I'll let you know how that turns out.

Looks good and works great as long as you follow the directions.

Out original sign had become weather beaten and brittle. This sign installed easily and looks great. Our neighbors asked where we got it - they want to replace theirs too! Comes with light bulbs and we are replacing with LED's.

This has been an adventure! My husband installed this and it immediately took out our one year old doorbell transformer. He bought and installed a new transformer. The bulbs were not LED and put off a lot of heat, so my husband bought and installed some LED bulbs. While the LED are too bright, everything seemed to be working fine.My garage door opener was no longer working properly from the car remotes, but no issues from the opener button on the garage wall. I called the garage door opener manufacturer and learned that the LED bulb and garage door opener operate on the same radiowave frequency. Once I removed the bulbs, no more garage door problems. However, I now can not find the replacement incandescent bulb and am totally frustrated and dissatified. It now looks like we will need to start over with a new lighted address plaque after much additional expense and hassle. I would not buy again!Update: we bought Sylvania 161 bulb which fits, is not hot or as bright, which I prefer.

I wanted a numbered sign that would hold 3 numbers for my address and be back lighted so it could be seen from the street at night. I saw this product and decided to give it a try. Here is what I found:1. First, this product uses incandescent auto bulbs (two of them) to back light the unit. Ok, probably a good concept 10 years ago, but because of the design ( one bulb pointed to the right and one bulb pointed to the left) it does a terrible job of providing even light., What you have is a bright spot to the right and a bright spot to the left of very yellow light.2. The numbers that you are provided are thin walled and three dimensional. That means there is a very thin edge that you have to apply glue to in order to mount the numbers. Nint, not enough glue to do a nice job just putting on three numbers, much less four or five numbers.3. There are only two of each number. So if your address is something like 2225. Forget using this set!!! You will get 22 and that is it!!! Try finding these numbers anywhere for the additional 2.4. The case is designed ONLY to support rear exit of wiring!!!!!!!! The design does NOT allow for side exit, top exit, or bottom exit of wire. Also a strange mix of wire gauges with what they provide you.5. Due to the design of the light, three numbers are very hard to see as there is a bright spot on the two outside numbers but the middle number is dark. Replacing the original auto bulbs with birhgt LED bulbs helps, but the middle number is still in a dark spot due to design of light fixture.I would suggest looking elsewhere.

It's easy to read day or night. The thickness of the material used was to my liking. Not thin crappy metal found on some fixtures. I attached this fixture to stucco which would have been difficult if I didn't have the proper tools. I think it will last A long time. Time will tell.I'm happy.

I really like the simplicity of this # plaque for my sisters house. Bought it for her for Christmas last year and we finally got it hooked up in the spring when it got warmer and she loves it. It was hooked up to the Broan BK125LWH NuTone chime kit(2lighted push buttons, 1transformer). That I also got for her earlier that year for her birthday and the house # plaque hooked up very easily to exiting doorbell. You really can see her house # quite far from the road. Good purchase Thanks Amazon

Sent me a whole other look and can only be hooked up through doorbell wires. I needed it on the other side so didnt work for me . It came with black frame not the picture
