The Beverly Hillbillies 1-25 AMT

I bought this for my 87-year-old father, who puts models together every day as a way to pass the time. He LOVED it - he's called me several times: when he received it, when he started putting it together, when it was finished and when he had his grandson (my nephew) over to take photos and send to me. It took him a few days to put together, which means it was moderately challenging for him, and he was thrilled to have something "out of the ordinary" to put together. My family watched The Beverly Hillbillies all the time, so I think in addition to all of the clever little "props" it contains, this model has also brought back lots of great memories. It's become quite the topic of conversation!

Wonderful kit!!! Got it to make for my dad for his birthday and it was really fun to make. Lots of details. Easy to do (was only my 3rd model ever made yet turned out great). Only problem I had was getting flatbed to be level but I think that was operator error not model issue.

It is good and I really , But one really needs to have done several models before this as there are no parts numbered on the trees so one has to refer to the pictures This being said I really enjoyed it and adding to my collection of "TV Show" models. There were enough spare parts that I was able to build GRANNY'S HOT ROD as I had an extra frame, axle, left over from models I built

This was fun to build. I really like the extra's that came with it, moonshine bottles, barrels etc. I am not building it as the Beverly Hillbilles car. I thought that this would make a great moonshiners truck in a diorama.

Ordered this model for my husband who has a collection of model cars and die-casts of over 700 in number. He was very happy with the model and is looking forward to sitting down and working on it this winter. The model kit includes parts for two building options. You can build it stock Beverly Hillbillies style, or with chrome wheels, bucket seats (instead of Granny's log bench) and custom. Great to have the extra parts for other projects, or as my husband calls it, his "bone-yard".

I won't put it together, I'm leaving it in the box it came in for display in my Den. I just bought it for nostalgic reasons. I'm a big fan of the Beverly Hillbillies. Came in mint condition.

Pieces fit perfectly. Quality model.

An older tooling, so some parts are very simple by modern standards and require substantial clean-up (particularly the wheels & suspension components), but it can be built into a good looking replica of the Hillbillies' truck without too many headaches.

Love it.
