Regular Boot Use
Added these to a regular pair of boots. Can't feel the cord on the back of my leg

Work great
Put together on factory orthotic and hated it ! If you now use a custom orthotic dont waste your time. I have used Super feet for 20 years. I bought new heat elements and Superfeet and Love them. I am using the factory set up in my hunting boots.

Big clumsy batteries
Big obnoxious and clumsy batteries to hang off your boots. Great big batteries to hang off your boots that need to be attached well to keep from hitting them against something and losing them. The heated area only heats the toes. They give you this cheap thin piece of adhesive paper to attach the heating element and install into your boot. Doesn't hold well. I was not impressed with the heat. They warn you that they get really hot at high setting, never happened. I worn them to a Green Bay packer game. They helped but never did I experience significant warmth that I could "feel". Another heated foot item that's not worth the investment. And oh back up batteries, very pricey.

I've used hotronic's products for years and have always been happy. The outstanding customer experience because of the vender was just icing on the cake.

Just covers, no cushion
These look like they probably work just fine if you are just looking to cover full-length orthotics. However, if you have 1/2 length orthotics (just arch control) and need an EVA-based insole cover with cushioning for your forefoot, these are not what you are looking for. They are a bit thinner than the cardboard backing of a legal pad and don't provide any cushion. Like I said before, if you have full length orthotics that are built up for the full length of your foot, this may still work for you.
