The OS-250 compact tripod is both lightweight and well-designed for use with film, digital, and video cameras. Features include a three way panhead, enabeling the user to shoot both horizontal and vertical pictures, and a quick-release camera mounting platform that attaches to the base of your camera. This allows the user to quickly and easily mount and remove the camera from the tripod. The OS-250 also features three section aluminum legs with quick lever leg locks for quick and easy leg positioning. Simply unlock the leg lever, extend the leg to the desired position, re-lock the leg lever, and begin taking pictures. Also, each leg has independent, three position leg angles, which include standard, semi-low and low-angle positions. This feature will allow for more flexibility and stability when using the tripod on various and uneven terrains. The manual lift center column makes those final tripod height adjustments smooth and easy. Simply unlock the center column lock knob and lift the center column to the desired height. When traveling, no need to leave the OS-250 at home. Its compact size allows the tripod to fit into most suitcases and backpacks.

Portable tripod for field use
I have 10 of these items and use them in the field for video monitoring of astronomical events. They are perfect for transport on airplanes and deployment at night. I have used them for up to 2 years now and all still work quite well.

Good for low but head is not good
OK...I should not have expected much from this tripod. But I'm glad it did cos me anything (I used Amazon points to get it). The head is very cheesy. I would klike to replace it with a small ball head but I can't get the existing head off this tripod. So I'm stuck with what I have and will make it work.

Handy gadget
Haven't used it much yet, but found it to be useful for macro shots to avoid camera shake. Has light weight, convenient with travel pouch if I take it outdoors and use it on stationary objects. Must be careful not to offset center of gravity with camera mounted (2 lbs.), but anchor it if becoming tippy. A good overall purchase so far, replaced a more flimsy brand.
