It is a "glass" protector and therefore thicker than most of the "film" type. No discernible "pocket activation" after 1 weeks constant usage. Leaving as 3 stars so all you good people can make an unbiased decision.ORIGINAL: Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Let me say straight off that I'm sorry I had to rate this product as 3 stars, but SAMSUNG has given IT a flaw (not a flaw with the case itself- let me explain).1st- this product is VERY VERY VERY well made. beautiful, soft leather and relatively well padded (for a phone case). The magnet flips backwards (!) to attach behind- a VERY helpful feature. Phone fits snugly in the plastic insert and the cutouts are all perfectly centered around their individual items. Specifically, the cutout on the back for the pen is a VERY smart detail. Build/Quality SIX STARS!However, the Start button is VERY easily depressed by the case in a pocket. This leads to the screen almost constantly running in your pocket. I dropped 50% of battery in a two hour movie and didn't even take the pone out of my pocket! I have tried both back and front pockets, loose and tight jeans. This may or may not affect the purse/jacket pocket crowd. I am still searching for a non-root way to turn off the wake from sleep functionality of this button. SAMSUNG is to blame for this problem, NOT the manufacturer- but I rated it down stars in an effort to warn other buyers. SAMSUNG issue- ZERO stars.NOTE: I am actively looking for a solution to this problem- that's how much I like the product! I will update the review if I find a workable solution. A prior poster suggested the soft side of a stick on Velcro piece. Also, I don't have my screen protector on it yet, which a different poster suggested would also help mitigate the issue. Hang in there...

P.S. I had one more thing to say; I got my Libiti at a discount on my first order, but that didn't effect my review one way or the other. I'm too ornery of a bitch to say I like it if I don't! I like my Libiti Phone Case a lot!!! After owning and using it for a short time I appreciate how well and accurately it is made. It's amazing; all the "holes/ports" are in the CORRECT spot! It's a miracle and you don't have to push on little rubber buttons. The on/off and volume buttons have a cut-away so you actually touch the button; not hope you hit the right part of the rubber button. Last, but not least, it feels good in your hand. Jane in customer service is awesome! Well maybe I had a little more than one thing to say😉☆I'm not sure if I believe in love at first site; but it was damn close with this phone case. I even love it after a little bit of a rough start which was on me; I didn't understand the term split-leather. The main thing I learned was that it would last longer and it looks better then that awful PU Leather. It feels good, is made well and the openings are all in the correct place, which is a miracle! With how much I like it I'm already wondering if I should buy a second one for just-in-case something happens to the first one. WEIRD family trait! Oh, and an equally important point, they have great customer service!!! They get back to you quickly. They answer your questions politely with short-and-sweet, accurate answers! I would buy from Libiti again!

Now that I've had this case for six months, I can give an honest appraisal. The positives: the exterior is attractive and holding up well; the leather flip tab with the magnet is showing no significant signs of wear at the joint or fold; the phone stays snugly in place so far (see below); nothing about the design interferes with the use of the phone. The negatives are only two, but significant enough for me to say I would not repurchase this product. First, the easel functions poorly. This is my third easel-style case, and it is the only one has not held the phone securely at an angle. Either leading edge of the phone slides across the card holder, or, if I can get the phone to balance just so and not breathe on it, the accordion fold collapses in on itself so that the phone lies nearly flat. Second, the interior plastic, the part that holds the phone in the case, is self destructing. I am very easy on phones; for the most part, my phone stays in my purse if I am not using it, so it never gets dropped. There is no reason for large pieces of plastic to be breaking off on all four corners. I hope some design tweaks and new plastic formulations are in the works. I wanted to love this case.

This is a very good case with quality construction, especially at the price. If you are seeking to protect your Note 4 as well as its screen, this will do the trick. The magnet holds the cover closed and when you open the cover to access the phone, the magnetic latch attaches to the back side as well. I really like the fact that you can use the phone while the case is closed - very nice feature. The inside card holders are fine - they work as you would expect. However, putting even two cards into this holder adds thickness to the overall phone / case combo. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating, rather than 5, is that even without any cards in the case, it still adds some thickness to the overall phone making it more noticeable when placed in your front pocket. However, that is a trade off for protection, and if you put it in a suit coat pocket or a purse, it is perfect and worthy of 5 stars. I also purchased the inexpensive Pasonomi case (also very good for basic protection) and I use that when I'm out and carrying the phone in my front pocket.
