If bought this keyboard because I had a broken screen on my iPhone and needed to somehow input my password. The screen wasn't responding to my fingers. In fact, the whole screen had gone blank. This keyboard includes a button in the upper left that allows you to speak to Siri. I was able to plug this into my phone's input, call up Siri with the command button in the upper left and turn on voiceover, which allowed me to navigate my phone and back it up.I know there are many other people out there who have this issue as well. This is the keyboard to use. You need a Siri button and you need a wired part. Couldn't be more happier to figure this out. Shout out to all the people on the Apple forums who helped out - none of them being of the "genius" type.

I want to love this keyboard, but the plastic build quality makes it shy of perfect. While it's been a joy to have a keyboard for drawing that does not suffer the lag issues of Bluetooth, the mushiness of the plastic keys and chassis of this keyboard are amongst the cheapest of any I've ever used, comparable to a ten dollar keyboard perhaps. While it gets the job done, for the price you would really expect a stiffer construction. Given how strong and reliable the Apple wireless keyboards are, it would be hard to convince someone to go for this unless they needed the wired connection.

This allowed me to save my data on my iPhone 5S that had an input screen / logic board die on it. The phone worked fine except the input screen, and I just needed to be able to unlock it to allow my computer to sync with it one last time. Screen replacements had failed to rectify the issue, but a friend who develops for the platform suggested this. Worked like a charm -- plugged it in, typed in my pin to unlock through the keyboard, and then plugged the phone into the computer to sync. Saved all my data from a few weeks abroad on vacation!Furthermore, the keyboard itself is pretty substantial, and I occasionally use it with my iPhone X when I want to take notes in meetings.

I purchased this to try and unlock my iphone 8 that has an LCD disconnected from the motherboard (kids dropped it). I tried to use the unlocking techniques but they keep failing. I was getting the three buzzes that means you have to unlock your iphone to use this accessory. Unfortunately, with IOS 13 and higher, Apple will not allow you to use plug in accessories unless the iphone is unlocked first. So you cannot use to to unlock an iphone IOS 13 and higher. I plugged the keyboard into my insurance replacement iphone and it does unlock and have the siri button working just fine. i'm keeping it since I do some work on my iphone and my mom has an ipad she can use with it to. Just check you IOS version before you buy for unlocking your iphone

i didnt realize this option existed until today. I was occasionally using the apple bluetooth keyboard. However, the bluetooth pairing was always a hassle. With this wired keyboard I just plug in and go. no setup needed. no batteries. no hassle. love it.

Works great with my ipad! Easy to use my 8 & 10 year olds love to use it to help them get homework done on the ipad. Had a blue tooth wireless keyboard, but it was hard for my kids to connect it and always having to change out batteries. This one is so easy to use, just plug in and start using.

I am using this for my new iPad. Unfortunately, the apostrophe does not seem to work. Everything else seems fine so far.

Great product! You plug it in and works flawlessly - even if your screen is broken. I was able to unlock my iPhone whose screen was gone. This keyboard is very light, and yet keys have a good feedback. Definitely worth the money.

While this may be a good keyboard for slow typers, it drops characters, and lots of them, while typing even just moderately fast as I do. Someone proficient with a touch typing method might, in my estimate, lose almost half of the characters typed. And to think I thought that bluetooth keyboards were more prone to character drops than a wired one, getting this to replace my wireless keyboard for added reliability and longevity. It turns out it is significantly less reliable and potentially hugely frustrating.The build quality sems a bit on the flimsy side for the price. It is surprisingly light, and the keys don't feel very solid, but it is otherwise a seemingly good keyboard, well laid out, a good size if you're used to a full-size one and want to avoid ultra-compact ones. The cable feels like a cheap-quality lightning cable, so I'd also be concerned about how well that would last.The bottom line, however, is still that it is unreliable as a keyboard. It will be returned.

I bought this so I could unlock an iPhone that had a malfunctioning touch screen, and be able to enter in the passcode to unlock it so it could be backed up into iTunes. There is literally no other way of doing this without using a wired keyboard with a Lightning connector. This worked a treat and I was able to back up photos manually that hadn't been set to back up to iCloud.Aside from that, it could be a useful addition to an iPad where you don't want to use Bluetooth for some reason.

Good compatability with Apple tablets and a nice feel to the keys.

It's a keyboard, it's wired, it plugs straight into IPad Air or iPhone and works a treat, not much else to say. If you need one, get one.

Works great with my iPad when im wanting to do a lot of typing.
