Rainbow Bridge: A True Story About Rescue Cats

I haven't read this book yet but I am looking forward to reading it. I do a lot of reading and a majority of my books have to do with horses. I love all animals and we (my mother and I) recently had to put down one of our cats (17 months ago July 28, 2012). I am now reading books about cats and dogs and what they give to the human companion. I have one cat who I absolutely adore and he is 15 years of age and doing very well health wise.I am also looking forward to reading Paw Prints at Owl Cottage.

Take it from a cat lady - this book is an excellent read! You can tell it's a British book, but it's so charming. The author details all her cat rescues. It's wonderful to read about each one, and you will marvel at her devotion to enriching the lives of cats.

Each chapter is about a different cat and is written by a different person. As a person who has been involved in cat, dog and horse rescue, I found this book to be delightful.

I can really relate to the sweet writings of this author. The stories were tender, lovable , heartbreaking and beautiful. I wish our beloved companions lived longer... some of them are just so special. I lost my beloved kitty Scooter over 3 years ago and I miss him still... this book was such a comfort.

I really enjoyed this book, I got to meet alot of different personalities in the cat world. It was a very good read. I tried to put myself in her place trying to deal with all of those cats. B. Hake

For any animal lover-parent, the rainbow bridge poem is a great comfort in times of need. My children have all been 4-legged and feline. My little girl Evie is a rescue cat as was her older sister Cissy. This is a lovely, lovely book for another cat parent!

Wonderful book, especially for animal lovers! Heartwarming, brings you to tears, in a good way. I LOVE it! It gives you something to believe in after you've lost a cherished pet. I have recommended it to all my animal loving friends! I would pass it along, but I'm afraid I wouldn't get it back! Very recommended!

An easy read for someone who adores cats, and the people who foster and rescue them. Since each chapter is about a different cat, and a different story, it is easily one of those books you can put down any time and pick up later, because the story will be different. The author has a knack of getting into the story, she could probably pick a chapter and write a whole book about that one cat! Rainbow Bridge is indeed colorful.

Just the sort of book I cold get lost in, and I did. It was a job to put it down and so I finished it is 3 nights when I went to ed. Sad and yet funny. I have a lovely ginger cat could called Tommy who is so very affectionate, especially since my husband died last year, and I have now just been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Lovely stories about rescue cats. makes one feel better.

I am a cat lover and have read lots of books about cats and the tricks they get up to. I had heard about Rainbow Bridge so decided to give it a go. I loved all the stories and Susan Cilyk's great feelings for all her furry companions. She has made me think of when the time comes, how I will meet all the pets I have had in my life . Susan writes very well and with great feeling, keep it up!!

I bought this book after reading other reviews. I had recently lost one of my dear little cats and was feeling quite low when I found this book review. I was moved by the inspirational stories and the poem at the beginning. I felt that although I had lost my little cat that it was not the end. Only thing it is not long enough - I was left wanting more stories. Read it, it helps the loss if you have just lost an animal.

This is the best book I have ever read about cats, I lent it to my mother to read and she said the same, if you love cats or own a cat or have anything at all to do with cats then you must read this book.I am starting it all over again! It is a book that I shall keep for ever, it would also make an excellent present for any cat lovers.
