Very frustrated at first because didn’t realize I need to put batteries in a cylinder. Unscrew both ends and do it right. Very easy once I checked Internet to see how to do batteries.BUT, once this works it’s amazing. I found all the spots my sneaky dog is hitting. He’s now in trouble!! But maybe even worse is I’m in trouble. I started checking all over the house. I’ll be cleaning in the dark this week. I had no idea how stains or food or dirt hide. I can see and my family can see, but this stuff is undetected! My home looks clean. But, it’s not. So glad I purchased this… highly recommend.

I am an avid reviewer, so first let me start off by advising I hold things to a high regard when reviewing them. With this unit I made a choice after researching AND using my own real black lights from Halloween. This unit is on a specific frequency that lights up cat urine like a glowing orb of doom. Once received I did the customary searching of the house, and became unpleasantly aware of things I was conveniently ignorant of before. It has not only found the urine that I couldn't find, on the subfloor under the carpet that I tore up.I couldn't get rid of the smell because the carpet was saturated Need the sub floor consequently was saturated. I did learn the areas to focus on with my enzyme (use urine b gone) and have effectively eradicated the urine from the subfloor finally ridding my home ofvthat wretched embarrassing scent.In turn I found areas where my unwell cats have previously puked, down walls from their cat tree. It was absolutely disgusting. But, I feel my house is cleaner now and I use the light fanatically.One more story, the other night I caught a wiff of urine in the kitchen, abnormal but considering I was tearing up the cat room currently it wasn't a surprise they were acting out. What was a surprise was how effectively they drenched the area they had chosen. With the light I was able to follow the urine as it traveled along the planks, which is key to removing all of the material so they don't pee there again.The owners followed up with 3 emails filled with tricks and tips to make the most of the newfound technology. Very useful information and it was equally nice to know that they followed up so efficiently for such a low cost item. That is good business. I am confident should I need assistance at any time they will respond timely and assist with my needs. However, in my mind, this light has done what I bought it to do and has already paid for itself by saving me from tearing up an entire subfloor. So if you have cats, or really any pets that have biological fluids, this is a very good tool to have in the cupboard.

Well the light works great. It works so well that I'm having a little trouble determining between what is a urine stain and what is some other substance, unless it's in an obvious puddle shape. I guess those clear UV glasses really do make a difference. So, I would have rated this product with 5 stars but when I installed the batteries that came packaged with the flashlight, it did not turn on. I swapped out those batteries for some I already had at home and voila, flashlight works. So, not cool sending me old, dead batteries, seller.

First off, these are things I wanted to know about this flashlight so I'm hoping these quick descriptions help out...1. This flashlight really works!2. Wear clear UV protection glasses.3. This flashlight has 380-385 wavelength which I read is best for this application.That aside, here's my story...I had a UV flashlight years ago & it didn't work so I was hesitant to order another one. I did a lot of research about wavelengths & color of light etc. & the PeeDar2.0 covered all of my needs. I have one dog & was going to foster a dog that wasn't fully house trained. I didn't want it to pee on previous spots so I wanted to clean up before the foster dog came.When I turned off the lights & turned on the flashlight it showed every pee stain, food spillage and dust particle. I was horrified. I looked in every room & found stains in weird places that I didn't know about. I thought my bathrooms were clean but PeeDar showed that they were not! My foster dog pooped in my living room & of course stepped in it & walked around.. The flashlight actually showed doo-doo paw prints on my tile floor. The whole thing was a fiasco but the PeeDar saved my sanity. Instead of hoping I cleaned everything, PeeDar showed if the stains were gone or if I still needed to clean up. It doesn't work well on white surfaces so It didn't show stains on my cream area rug, but when I turned it over it showed everything! Also, it works when there is still some light in the room. You have to know what you're looking for and hold the flashlight close to the surface.Safety issue...I started to clean areas while holding the flashlight, but it is small and it kept dropping & shining in my eyes. Also when it shines on white objects it is very bright. I was a little freaked out about it so I contacted the manufacturer & asked if I it could damage my eyes They were very prompt with their response.They were friendly & really cared about their product & their customers. They suggested that it would be good to wear clear UV g;lasses if the flashlight is being used for a long period of time. I wish that was in the description, because I would have ordered them together. I gave them 5 stars because it was a huge help for me & it worked brilliantly!I highly recommend this flashlight but please wear clear UV glasses.

I bought this to identify areas where my cat may have had an accident while suffering from a UTI. Tested it on an item that I knew she had peed on. The light didn’t detect a thing despite using it in a room that was completely dark. I will be returning it

This light is nice and bright and shows up all dust, dirt and stains, etc. so it's still useful if you want to do a deep clean. Unfortunately, it didn't detect dried cat pee on any surface I tried it on (paper, fabric, metal, wood, tile). Did it in totally dark rooms and semi-lit rooms and it found nothing even though I could smell the pee. Maybe it works better on dog pee. I had to return which is too bad as I really want to make sure I clean up all of the peed on areas and not rely solely on my nose. :(

This torch is good and shows urine up what you don’t realise is there. Fantastic really pleased

I bought a different UV light first and found it worked well for locaring where the cat peed, but over time it didn't highlight repeat locarion pees very well. The peedar 2.0 however highlights all pees and even shows stains that the other UV light doesn't. The 365-370nm works way better than a UV light with 390+ nm, as the area isn't blasted with purple UV light that drowns out the stain you're looking for.Overall, this works very well and shows stains that other UV lights don't, but the room does need to be quite dark for it to be effective.

wenn man ein Hund-/Katzenverhaltensbuch verspricht, sollte man das auch liefern! - wollte zwar eigentlich ohnehin eine Lampe 'ohne Buch', aber wenn ich das dann gekauft und somit auch bezahlt habe, dann möchte ich das Buch auch haben. Sollte das mit dem Buch einfach ein Missverständnis sein, sollte dieser Teil des Produkttextes schleunigst entfernt werden.Die Lampe an sich funktioniert ausgezeichnet, man sollte allerdings berücksichtigen das alle eiweißhaltigen Stoffe 'leuchten', also nicht nur Urin. Habe Pinkelstellen an meiner neuen Tapete gesucht... und mehr gefunden als mir lieb war :-(NACHTRAG: Kritik wurde gelesen und man hat umgehend reagiert!! habe eine Mail mit nem Link zum Download des eBook erhalten, ebenso den Hinweis das der Link wohl auf der Verpackung zu finden war, da ich diese nicht mehr habe, kein Urteil.
