Kate Somerville exact dupe
Same ingredients, look and smell. Works as efficient drying out new acne. But 1/3 the price?! I regret paying so much for my 4+ bottles of KS. Never going back.

Don’t waste your money
I have hormonal acne that pops up around my period. I had heard great things about a higher end brand, but based on good reviews - I decided to buy this one. I had a monster of a pimple pop up this past week and I followed the directions provided by the product. The first night, nothing. I think it got bigger in fact. The second night, nothing. I believe this product dries out the surrounding area so that your skin produces excess oil to replenish. When I reached out to the seller about wanting a refund on the product since it does not work - they blew me off stating that they don’t normally except refunds but if I wanted to send back (on my own dime) and pay their 15% restocking fee, they would accept it. Wow, thanks for the customer service. The product went in the garbage and I made note never to purchase from this seller again. Go with the Mario

Best sulfur/ Salicylic spot trmt in this divided format
I started dealing with minor breakouts at 17, & between then & college (22) i could also manage them with bp & a good concealer. However, as I got into my mid 20s, & even now at 34, i started to experience adult hormonal acne. It's never been severe, but when I say I have tried everything to prevent my hormonal breakouts, I'm not kidding. Salicylic acid & benzoyl peroxide don't even break the surface. In fact, I am a licensed esthetician in FL, where i live now because of my skin. I had studied & researched skin & skincare so so much on my own that I figured, heck, make it a career. I knew as much, if not more then my instructor lol. I did start school to help my own skin & have the knowledge needed to do so, but my intent was also to help others dealing with any skin issue & I took my training even further w/ extra classes & medical esthetics. I have helped so many people get their acne, rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation, erythem, etc under control but, the thing that gets me....i still deal with adult acne. I have had hormone tests done & know what my imbalances are & what causes it. I could prob take spironolactone & birth control & rid myself of all breakouts, but I choose not to add artifice hormones or things that block androgens into my body. So that means I deal with supplements, eating right & good skincare. Most of my breakouts now stem from stress & the increased cortisol levels that brings, along with insulin resistance. When I get them I am now very good at clearing them quickly & making sure they do not leave behind marks in the form of post inflammatory erythema (red spots via broken capillaries, for me the most common) or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots from increased melanin production).I used to really like Mario Badescu's drying lotion & was looking for a bit cheaper option when I found this. There are about 6 types of similar SA & sulfur based spot trmts on amazon alone. My skin doesn't respond to SA by itself very well, but the anti-inflammatory effects of sulfur really help my skin & so I like the combo. You have to read the ingrediebts of these spot trmts carefully though, they are not created equal. Some ppl can't use camphor & some can't handle calamine. Test anything new for 24-48 hrs in a nonobvious spot on your skin before applying everywhere.Personally, my skin likes the slight variation in the ingredients in this product better than the Mario B product. I'm a-ok with that since it's $10 less. This is also a bit closer to skin tone & less bright so if I do have it on around someone else I don't look as crazy lol. Let me say though that the top clear liquid in here is alcohol. It can & will be drying. Try not to get this on the healthy skin surrounding your blemish & maybe alternate with a hydrocolloidal spot dot to keep the area from drying out. Active treatment ingredients cannot penetrate dry crusty skin. It'll just sit on top & do nothing for you. This is also just not going to do much for deep cystic or nodular acne. It cannot penetrate deep enough. If you have an open blemish, I'm not saying don't apply it, cause I have done that too, but.. It's gonna burn for a sec. Overall, I do think this is a good option for whiteheads, papular & pustular acne. The SA can help to loosen blackheads because it is oil soluable (until glycolic, lactic & malic acids which are water soluable, all AHAs are) but it's not as effective against them. Give it a try, i think this is the best spot trmt out there in this format. I like this more than EradiKate as well.

Works wonders
I've been using this product for about 3 months and I'm amazed at how effective it is. I have hormonal acne and a couple of zits pop up once a month. At the first sign of a bump, I use this product and 9 times out of 10, they go away without becoming noticeable. Early intervention is key. I would recommend avoiding using this if you've already popped the zit because it can dry out your skin and cause it to look flaky. Otherwise I haven't experienced any dryness and I consider my skin to be sensitive. Some reviewers have complained that it smells bad but I don't smell anything except alcohol which quickly fades as it dries. I took the advice of another reviewer who suggested topping the alcohol off when it gets low and I've seen no difference in it's effectiveness. I will always keep this on hand. It's been a lifesaver.

Magical pink gunk
A pretty decent dupe for the pricier Mario Badescu and Kate Somerville products which do essentially the same thing. The pink stuff is sulfur which is suspended in a rubbing alcohol solution. Very easy to use: wash your face as usual, dip a cotton swab into the pink stuff and pull straight out, then apply directly to your blemish. It will dry within a few minutes, and you're set for bed. I haven't noticed any staining of my sheets or pillowcases. However, make sure you wash off any excess in the morning if you're like me and shower in the pm, otherwise you may get some looks while you're out in public.I'm 27 and still get the occasional pimple. In the past I've used OTC products like benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, to prescription strength retinoids. Since my acne is under control, I find the regular use of those topical medications too harsh and drying. That's where this product comes in. In just one night, the redness is gone and the size of any pimple is dramatically reduced. By day three it's usually not noticeable. Because the problem is under the skin, the pimple does not become completely flat or just fade away, but I really do think using this product makes healing time faster. Plus, since it's smaller and less irritated, you're much less likely to pick at the blemish throughout the day and actually give your skin a chance to heal. I haven't noticed any issues with sensitivity with this product, but I don't have sensitive skin to start with. Give this product a try - for a few bucks you might actually be surprised.

Its okay
It's okay, I guess... it does dry up the superficial layer, but I dont really notice it working with either cystic breakouts or whiteheads..in fact even using it 3 days in a row didnt really help much. It dries and flakes the skinI have fairly normal-type skin, pale with pinkish undertones. Quite sensitive, but i can handle BHAs, AHAs

Brilliant product that truly works
Brilliant product that truly works! It's the first time that a product has helped me deal with my cystic (hormonal) acne. I'm finally seeing hope for my skin to possibly be blemish free (or close to it). I'll never be without it now. I've been using it at night as recommended, but also during the day when I'm home (just set and forget). I try to use a mask (my favorite is an activated charcoal mask I make up as I go along) every 2 or 3 days, especially if I'm flaring up, and after a few weeks I am starting to see some visible improvement. Yay! The best part of this product is that it's not too harsh on the skin since it has calamine lotion in it, while still being aggressive (does that make sense?). For all those with recurring acne, there is hope - try this product.

this one has been the best. I find my breakouts respond most to sulfur ...
Out of all spot treatments I have ever used for my hormonal adult acne, this one has been the best. I find my breakouts respond most to sulfur products and this one has 10% in it. I've used a 10% sulfur spot treatment before and a 10% sulfur ointment, but they both did not give me the same results of this drying lotion.I started seeing results the day after I started using it. Every whitehead that I have either reduced in size or starting to dry up. The cystic acne was slower to go, but at least it is going. Usually nothing helps them at all. This really does dry out your skin when you use it, so you have to make sure you are only using it where you need it. I find it stings a little if I apply it to a blemish that has broken Applying lotion in the morning has helped a lot with this.I am now using it in conjunction with the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay and my face is almost totally cleared in the past week.If you have adult/hormonal acne I would recommend! I will be buying this again!

Same as the mario badescu one
I was looking for the "Mario Badescu drying lotion" a month ago, but because of quarantine, it was sold out everywhere online, and would've been way too expensive to order directly from the MB site. This "Bye Bye Blemish" is the exact same product. Same pimple-drying propeties, smell, texture, bottle (just the label is different); if you can't get the MB drying lotion this is a perfect alternative.Only thing is it's the same price ($21 CAD) but the MB drying lotion says its 29g and this is 28g. Pretty tiny difference, just thought I'd note it.Overall, works great and I reccomend.
