Laser Safety Glasses for Co2/Eximer - Model OTG

So one reviewer said that they wondered how one could ensure that these would filter the beam of a CO2 laser. I thought that was a great question. The only way I could figure to test this was to put these glasses in the path of the beam and see if the beam could burn a piece of paper on the back of the glasses. Here's what happened: I actually burned a bad spot on the glasses, but the beam did not penetrate the lens and the paper was not even singed. I removed the glasses and pulsed again and the paper immediately caught fire. I realize this was a rather unscientific test, but I was satisfied that the glasses did not allow light from the laser to penetrate. Unfortunately, I burned a bad spot on my glasses. These glasses are very comfortable and they fit very well over my regular glasses which are above average size. I think I am going to order another pair and have these as a spare in case I have visitors in the laser room.

These have adjustable length earpieces and fit well over eyeglasses. These seem to be real nice build quality for something so basic. Clear - spec says 80% visible light transmission but way better visibility than tinted glasses. Reasonable price and best of all made in USA with spec on Phillips website gives me confidence I'm not trusting my eyesight to a nameless manufacturer from China. Going to seek Phillips for my other shop eye protection needs.

I bought several pairs of glasses for my c02 laser. These are comfortable and sturdy as well as big enough to fit over another pair of glasses yet springy enough to fit a small head.However, you can't tell if they are working as they are clear and feel like regular protective googles. We have often mixed them up because you can't tell the difference at a glance.The left lens is engraved with 10600nm but that is it.I have several Cloudray 10600nm Safety Goggles OD4+ CE Protective Goggle that I feel more comfortable with as the lens are the same color as my protective acrylic on the laser.Other than the fact that I can not tell if they are working, they seem good. But for the price, I want to know that my eyes are safe and I just don't get that feeling while wearing these. It's a gamble I don't like taking.You can decide for yourself but they are good glasses otherwise.

So I guess I was a little disappointed to see the made in China sticker, I always try to buy American made products if possible. Mine came with a case and a soft sleeve along with a lanyard.They fit over my glasses fine and should be the protection I'm looking for with my CO2 laser engraver.

These are very comfortable and fit over glasses wonderfully. My only complaint is they don’t look like the picture and it took me a while to find these on internet. They appear to be from the same company, but with such an important safety device, I fear that these are knockoffs. The description doesn’t say (that I could find) that they could be different than the ones in the photo. Amazon really needs to nail these vendors, this is literally the 10th item in a row that doesn’t look like the photos.

I have sent back 4 other glasses because they would not fit or were uncomfortable. These were more expensive than some but seem to give full protection and are comfortable to wear. Laser safety glasses are NOT an area where I will compromise!

These feel like quality goggles, which is great when you're relying on them to save your eyes.Very clear vision, and no discernible tint. You will forget you're wearing them when you get used to the weight.Hard to tell if they work or not, but I can still see well enough to write this review.

Fit well and comfortably over my Rx glasses and give me an extra layer of protection from Co2 laser. Not as clear as going without, but I forget I have them on, so they do what I need.
