Is it suitable for older dogs?
Yes I like this for my dogs. I have 2 x 12 year old show cockers. My dog has had gastrointestinal problems. He’s been on another brand but a fish product and his breath hasn’t been great on it. I was also looking to ensure he had proper nutrition instead of just fish. I think meat is important for dogs. He ate it with gusto and there were no stomach problems after. My only slight concern is that the kibble is quite large and hard- see my picture. My dogs have fewer teeth that have in places gone back to the gums so I’m not sure this is a long term food. I’m a little surprised at this considering it appears to be designed for and marketed at older dogs.

too large and hard for my small and medium boys
Previously had the senior/light P&M which comes in a 2kg bag - that's more like little, crunchy balls which smell tasty (dogs like them); these are larger, flat, much harder and don't smell. My dogs are not impressed - they eat a few then walk away (have a griffon & tibetan terrier); I can't say if its the taste or the hardness - in fact, my little griffon has to swallow them whole and that can't be great for a 13yr old to digest; two boxes are being donated to their old friend - a labrador. Would give these a miss if your dog is smaller than a collie.

My dog loves it
I use this to supplement my dog's raw food diet and it ensures that she is getting all the nutrients she needs without any added 'nasties'.

Larger kibble than the usual pea size
I’ve tried 3 different types of dog food for my dog as he is very fussy.I put 2 different kibble in his bowl and he picks this out and leaves the other so we will be getting this in the future.

Best food
My 8 year old staffy is thriving since changing to this food. She no longer needs joint supplements for her hip and is in a cracking condition

Causing awful wind
My 10yr old cocker spaniel has to have a strict grain free diet. After running out of his original brand, I thought I’d try this. He’s had the most terrible, putrid smelling wind and his stools are loose. It states it’s grain free but is it?
