Delightful story of a Yorkie found in the jungles of New Guinea by an American GI in WWII who went on to become a star on American television.

I loved the book.

A must read for any Yorkie owner, lover of Yorkshire Terriers/all dogs, WWII history buffs. The seller sent package in excellent condition.

Great History - Great Book

This book is a beautiful story about a brave dog and a soldier who found him and loved the brave wonderful dog.

This is a well written book with plenty of cute pictures.

I'd heard of this story in an article in our local paper and I had to buy the book. It was great! If you like animals, you'll love this book. It's amazing what this little Yorkie was capable of doing and the lives she touched.

As the owner of two Yorkies, their personalities are just like the book

I did not hestitate to pruchase this brilliant book when i saw the cover and read the reveiws . My father is in the process of deep bonding!! in fact how could you not do that in one day !! with the new family member "Denis The Trooper" York-Chi who is the spitting image of "Sir Doodle" on the cover shot . Hvaing spent his younger days as a memeber of The Parachute Regiment and me having grown up picking my way around his extensive but tiresome ( at times ) collection of "War Books" !! ..for the last 30 years - i knew this true account would have a impact and he could read it with his new mate at his side .Dad loved this book and read it in two sittings - retired to bed with it ..the book was send round to my home next with dads recommendations i would love it - i havent read it yeat as ive been re- couping from my own personal wars and battles but i think Sir Doodle and i have something in common - we are both troopers !! im dying to read it and then pass on to my mother and prob dads brothers .I do apolgise i cannot give an in depth review - dads memory isnt that great but i know when he says fantastic he means it ..!! he only does that now about food and good "war books " !!Worth every penny and a must for a Yorkie owner - especially if hes a little male !! .

Absolutely fascinating, as a Yorkie owner myself I could associate very much with the owner and his dog,this was one very remarkable little dog who embodied all the characteristics of her breed. One of my favourite reads.
