This is a great cell phone mount. Very well made and sturdy for the most part. I really liked using the air vent clip as sometimes it's hard to keep suction cups on the windshield. It only fits standard air vents (not circular ones) but that wasn't an issue for me. It is large enough to handle my s20 5g ultra phone without issue and keeps it in place over various terrains and roads.I have just recently used the window suction arm ( reason why listed below) and found it to be very easy to use. One slight exception in the hot sun, suction cups tend to loosen. This one is no exception but it did not fall.I like that the arm is adjustable and though it extends, it's vibration while driving is not that noticeable. Of course you have to ensure it's tightened properly to maintain its stability. Just be sure to not overtighten.I had done that with the vent clip trying to secure it after temporarily moving it and the one clip broke from too much pressure. I tried gluing it but even after when I tried to reattach it snapped again. Luckily for me, and any other customers who buy this mount, Desertwest has a lifetime warranty on their products and has great customer service. Just make sure you register your product once you receive it. They sent me a new air vent clip at no charge and it arrived today less than a week after my correspondence to them. This company stands behind its products and offers excellent customer service in my opinion. Buy this mount or any of their other products you won't be disappointed.

I have to admit--I have never before been a fan of smart phone vent holders. However, this one may convert me. This holder comes with a suction cup holder for the windshield, and a vent holder. I primarily got it for the windshield holder. Suction cups are not my favorite holder; I much prefer more permanent holders with strong adhesives and/or strong magnets. However, I have found windshield suction cup mounting to be acceptable when more permanent mounting is not possible due to lack of appropriate surfaces in the car's cockpit. (I give you this not to bore you with my preferences, but instead because I believe that confessing my pre-evaluation biases will help give you a better context for the evaluation I share about the product.)The suction cup holder is the most substantial I have ever used. It holds securely, without having much wobble or "drift," like the holders I have used that utilize a "gooseneck" style. I have confidence in the cradle and the holder that connects it to the suction cup, will hold it with little vibration or tilting. Its narrowest point is a ball socket with a screw tensioner that holds it securely. (Since the source of most instability is the narrowest point of the holder--and why gooseneck holders are so unstable--the narrow part is very long.) This stability will make it much LESS likely to become a distraction during driving than the other, less stable styles of connecting the holder to the windshield suction cups.The vent holder was the real surprise, though. I have been heavily against those since trying a few when I first went to a smart phone. I would never have bought one on purpose. I only looked at it because it came with the windshield mount for which I bought the package. However, one look and I was immediately interested. It has a screw-clamp arrangement that securely grips the fins of the vent. I had never seen that before. (That may be old news, I don't know. I had written off vent holders long, long ago.) Then, it also has a projection perpendicular to the axis of the main holder, that stabilized the angle of the vent clamp in the vent, so even if your car's vent fins are too loose, it will still sit with stability. I was impressed by this. The ball socket that holds the cradle to the vent-gripper is the same stable screw tensioner used in the windshield mount. For the first time since I first evaluated one of them--I am actually trying out the vent holder FIRST!My only question is to durability. How well will the plastic hold up to cracking? Will wear-and-tear cause the screw tensioner or the vent clamp to become less secure in time? If it fails, I will update this review. Without such an update, you may assume it is still working well for me.

I'm pretty sure it's just my car's dashboard material, but I am unable to use the dash mount because it will keep falling over. it was also quite annoying to position when I was trying to use it. the AC fan mount works amazingly though

The material is sturdy and well made. It comes with a vent mount and a suction mount. The phone clip is easily moved between mounts. The vent clip holds securely due to the claw like design. It holds securely and doesn't pop off. The suction cup holds extremely well. Once I placed mine on the dash, it has not popped off. The movable arm hold solidly even in the extended position. There is very little wobble when installed. The clip mounts easily and moves enough to see the phone no matter the seat adjustment. I have an Otter Box on my phone and it fits in the clip. It fits tightly with no wiggle room. It's one of my better buys.

Strong and sturdy, it worked as needed in the particular auto that we have.

I had a difficult time deciding where to mount the holder, as there are few completely flat surfaces on my dash. Once that decision was made, the device mounted easily and holds my phone securely.
