Brightness

I replaced my Halogen bulbs with these LED’s and the brightness is great. No heat build up like the old bulbs and the warm white was just the look I was hoping for. Not sure about energy savings but I went from 40 watts down to 5 watts each, should notice a huge difference since the lights are on dusk to dawn.

Too lazy to look back and write this review for the exact date but firstly, I bought a box of 10 to replace (progressively as the halogens dies) blown halogens in my ceiling - this year I bought another box of 10 for the same reason. But today, I found that one of the blown/malfunctioning (randomly goes off/on after switched on) was an LED bulb and not a halogen bulb. So, I am not sure how long the rest will last.Update as of June 17, 2022:The seller, after much deliberation, was offering a partial refund or a replacement bulb. I chose the refund. So up grading the number of stars from 3 starts to 4 stars. Why not 5 stars? It is a manufacturing (quality control?) issue and no amount of after sales support can change what was made already. It is best to ensure you do it right the first time around.

I found the color much more yellow for a 3K bulb. Seemed closer to 2700

Works well so far. I’m not sure how long it will last. It doesn’t throw a nice rich, warm light. It’s a bit on the cooler side. I would give it five stars if it cast a warmer tone.

Used these to replace MR16 halogen bulbs. These are actually brighter, and are perfect for landscape lighting. I generally only build landscape lighting solutions with fixtures that allow for bulb replacement (instead of integrated LEDs, that require replacing the entire fixture when the bulb dies). Often, I will purchase fixtures with standard incandescent or halogen bulbs, and then replace with LED equivalents. Aside from the brightness and low-cost benefits of running these LED, there is also the added benefit of being able to run many more of these on the same transformer. Think of it this way --- A standard 120W landscape transformer will be able to power 3x 30W halogen fixtures at most without tripping the internal safety shutoff or fuse. Comparatively, the same transformer will power at least 16x - 20x of these (I generally prefer to restrict draw to 75% - 80% of total theoretical output)

Warm light, low wattage are perfect
