New character adds sparkle to this P&P story
JW Garrett's 4-star review dated July 8, 2016 gives a full rundown of the high points of this story by Ms. Reynolds et. al. I think this is the best P&P story with a new character that I've read so far. Theo Darcy, Fitzwilliam's younger brother, is a fully realized character. He's just what you would expect from a younger brother - a pest, a nuisance, an infuriatingly irreverent jokester. To the upright and uptight Fitzwilliam, this is like waving a red flag in front of the bull. The two brothers have grown apart due to a family tragedy, with Wickham playing an important part in all three Darcy siblings' lives. I loved Theo! He's the ideal foil to Fitzwilliam's excessive rigidity that verges on the pompous. The story starts as Darcy and Theo (instead of the Colonel) travel to Rosings while Elizabeth is visiting Hunsford. As Theo begins to figure out that his brother is more than a little interested in the fascinating Miss Bennet, the brothers inadvertently discover that Lady Catherine is unwittingly dosing her daughter Anne with an addictive opium-based medicine. When they wean Anne off the tonic, however, they soon realize they've created a social monster. Anne has been sheltered at Rosings all her life. She has no idea how to behave in polite company, blurting out whatever comes into her head!Despite many distractions, Darcy and Elizabeth manage to further their romance as they return to London. They are watched with great interest by his family and the Gardiners. Everything seems to be going well. Then comes the inevitable bump in the road - Wickham runs off with Lydia. Darcy has left London, so it is Theo who discovers W's evil plot. It's Theo and his friend Mason who track the errant pair down. Theo is shocked by Lydia's careless, flirtacious manner and willful selfishness, but does his best to hush up the scandal. In the end Wickham seems to get what he deserves, in a suitably karmic twist.Included in the story are two letters written by Theo. One is to his friend Mason, before Theo reconciles with his brother. The second ends the story, being written to Mrs. Reynolds. It's a charming ending that shows how affectionately he regards the motherly housekeeper at Pemberley.I hope Amazon will allow me to include that a footnote in the Kindle edition refers readers who enjoyed Theo Darcy, to the website of The Darcy Brothers, where those two letters, plus others not included in this story, can be read. Like many other reviewers I sincerely hope we see more of Theophilus Darcy in a future book (or two!). We still have to marry off the Colonel, Georgiana, Anne, and Theo himself, after all!

Pride & Prejudice delightfully revisited
I'm a Janeite, but not too proud or prejudiced to enjoy the modern sequels to her work. I picked this up because I'm conceiving a new series titled The Bronte Brothers and wanted to see how the concepts compared. Plus, I love anything Austen (when it's well done). I was a bit leery about the multiple authors, unsure what to expect. Well, it was nothing like the series I conceive (four brothers who are cousins of the famed literary sisters with flavors of their novels, not re-conceptions of the novels), but still extremely well done. I especially liked the way the authors handled the Regency language. It felt authentic but was very accessible for modern readers. I would definitely recommend The Darcy Brothers to fans of Jane Austen and Regency romance.

This is a delightful version of Jane's masterpiece by a group of very talented authors. Bravo Ladies. Great read
I knew with the list of authors on this book it would be good and it did not disappoint me. The addition of Fitzwilliam's younger brother was a very refreshing twist. Knowing how siblings are, you had to expect Theo to be very different from his older, reserved and stoic "Fish". But true to form, Theo Darch is a remarkable young man who is making his way as a second son in the shadow of Mr. Darcy. I like that Theo has chosen the law as his profession since that gives our authors the opportunity to develop his analytical yet persuasive personality. Oh my, what a different Ann now that she is not under the care of her mother's physician. Is the effort to keep Ann weak and confused merely a horrid physician or could it be Lady Catherine is aware of what her husband's will contains about the estate and Ann's future. How many people does it take to change Elizabeth's mind about Mr. Darcy. You realize that he is the wonderful man we want him to be when his family is so anxious to make sure he gets the future he desires and deserves. Have no fear, Wickham is here and his character is unchanged, as well as Lydia's. Their future is what they deserve, though the first option for Theo was my favorite. His final choice goes to show us that he is the admirable man his brother hoped he would grow up to be. Family tragedies, in the early death of parents and siblings, leave the Darcy family carrying emotional scars that bring strife and continued misunderstandings. The family is in need of the influence of a witty, caring lady who sees through the pain and helps bring the family closure on some issues.I really liked the additional characters and the drama of it all. I've always wished that Jane had given us a couple more siblings to interact with Darcy and Georgiana. I hope this is not the last book to be written by these talented ladies about Theo. There are lots of possibilities with this new character as well the future of our trusty favorites, Ann, Georgiana, Mary, Kitty and Colonel Fitzwilliam.

Excellent Collaboration
Thoroughly enjoyed this collaboration of authors and meeting Mr. Theophilus Darcy, younger brother to Fitzwilliam, both seeking the love and respect of one another. Great dialogue and character portrayals. I highly recommend this different variation.

Great Book
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book because I don't always like P&P variations when they put in extra characters. I should have know better given the calibre of the writers involved in this project, especially the amazing Abigail Reynolds, I loved it and am hoping to read more about Mr Theo Darcy and friends.
