Organic Traditions Macaccino, 8 Ounce

This was a reorder of Organic Traditions Macaccino for me. I got a bag when I was traveling in Canada and had never seen it in US shelves, but have used Organic Traditions brands. I like having hot beverages at night, but am sensitive to caffeine, so that is out, but I don't like regular teas as I find them to be too weak flavored for me. I sometimes drink decaf coffee, but when I found this, I thought I'd try it and I loved it. It's easier to use this than to have to brew decaf coffee. Also, the taste is cofee-ish, but different, but not so different that it tastes like a bad coffee substitute. It just tastes like itself and is hard to compare it to anything. This product is interesting, too, because Maca has a lot of health benefits, but I've tried several different types and have always found Maca distateful. Since this is Black Maca and I've never tried it before, I was pleasantly surprised since this does not have whatever the flavor is that I don't like that are in other Maca powders. Overall, I think it's great, will order again, and I'm even sharing this with a friend who uses a coffee substitute to see if she'll like this better than the brand she's using now. Again, I don't know if coffee drinkers will find this an acceptable substitute for coffee as it's not really coffee flavored, but for a caffeine free healthy hot beverage with a lot more flavor than tea and a lot of health benefits, this is a really great choice.

Tastes great and is a nice treat. Would love to see this in a decaf

It tastes like healthy hot chocolate with just a little sugar and maca for added health benefits. If you like sugary hot chocolate you'll either need to add sugar to this or get a different brand that has a ton of sugar. I personally like the macaccino brand, as it tastes better so I don't think I'll buy this one again.

My package got held up at the border but arrived today and it is delicious. I didn't have a preconceived idea of what this might taste like and it is good.

Absolutely my favorite maca drink. It is very flavorful. The palm sugar is just lightly sweet, not too much. The blend of maca is what makes the texture perfect. I have tried others that felt like chalk; this is much more coffee like. I use 8 oz hot water from keurig. one tbls of this and a splash of coconut milk and it is perfect for porch sitting.

The product is a great quality. I couldn’t enjoy it because the taste of maca is too strong.

This is an acquired taste. I do like it and the health benefits are amazing. I have put a little in my coffee and I personally, enjoyed it better than just drinking it on its own.

I am a tea addict but this product gives me a clear mind and energy in the morning, better than tea and coffee. Taste is great, like mocha but more chocolaty.
