Worked nicely for my boat application
Granted, this may not work as well for all applications but for a couple bucks I figured it was worth a try. Glad I did. I installed this on my center console boat to replace the stock single wire antenna. Placement is inside the helm (as high as possible and wrapping any extra length to the sides. It made a HUGE difference in reception - both quantity and quality. I was originally considering some type of powered antenna or, worst case, an external one (definitely not my preference) but I'm happy with the upgraded performance from this simple, yet effective, antenna.

Great for hot tub radio!!!
I used this for better reception for my hot tub radio. Worked great.. I could only get 2 to 3 radio stations and some very staticcy. Now all my channels are coming in nice and clear!! This was on my new Marquis hot tub

FM worked fine by the way
Replaced an antenna plug with a small, frayed wire with this antenna. It did not seem to make any difference to my AM reception out on the lake --which is what I was hoping for. FM worked fine by the way.
