Engine plates are designed for lifting LS series GM engines. Installation of lift plate requires removal of the intake manifold and valley cover tray to properly secure lift plate to engine block. Plate features three lifting points, allowing engine weight to be balanced or offset. Offset position is helpful when angling an engine (with transmission attached) in or out of a vehicle. Made from 3/16" thick zinc plated Steel.

Built Well. Worked Strong.
Lifted the motor out without any reservations. I've lifted all iron big block Chevys with just carb plates... those were scary, but never dropped any. This plate is 3 times the size of those plates with thicker material and bigger welds. Good investment for any shop/person that will do a bunch of these motor swaps.

Works.
Expensive for 2 plates welded together. Worked like a charm though. First time swapping an engine. Probably could have done it without it, but wanted to do it right without rigging something up

Sturdy
Works great, I wish it came with bolts but the factory cover bolts work with it.

Exactly what you need
No hardware in the box but it was not advertised to carry it.Fits perfect and has 10 total securing locations.Welds look good and the unit is plenty strong to lift the motor and transmission together.

This thing is incredible for lifting ls engines. You ...
This thing is incredible for lifting ls engines. You have to get your own bolts tho. The knock sensor plate bolts that are on the engine are to long and don't get tight before bottoming out with this plate.

Well made and even if you only do one buy this
You do not want to put an LS motor in anything without this well made sturdy design allowed chipping engine up down and sideways to help with those alignment issues for transmission mate up. After using this I would have paid double
