I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn to make jewelry using Chinese knots. It is an excellent reference. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the instructions for some of the more complicated knots did not provide enough step-by-step guidance. For example, the knotting process might be shown in 2 or 3 pictures where 5 or 6 pictures would have been much better. Some of the knots took me a lot of effort to puzzle out from the pictures provided.

I purchased this book to help me make malas. I wanted a resource for Asian knots that was clear, easy to follow and that would provide me with inspiration. This book does all of that! It breaks down the knots in an easy to follow format, talks about the kinds of cord and tools needed and it also talks about the lengths of cord needed to do each knot. It shows combinations as well, so that you don't have to do just one by itself. This is a great book and i'll be using it for a long, long time!

I purchased 2 books on Chinese knotted jewelry. Both are excellent, however, this book helps one master the addition of beads in basic and complex manners with great photos and illustrations. This book also offers suggestions on how to make designs unusually yours.

This has clear how to diagrams & nice design ideas

This is my favorite knotting book. I have loaned it out to so many people who have purchased it so themselves that it proves it's a must have. Unfortunately the last person I loaned it to decided that it was too fabulous not to just keep for their own library and so I am buying another copy which will not be on loan.

I've seen a lot of beautiful books in my time, but this one is one of my top 10 favorites. The projects are beautiful, as well as the photography. I can't wait to get started.

Being a keen beader, I thought I'd like to try something a bit different and this book on chinese knotted jewellry captured my imagination from the first time I opened it. Initially, not using wires and threads seemed a bit daunting, but by practising on a spare piece of cord several of the knots shown before I attempted any of the wonderfully detailed pieces, gave me the confidence to go out and buy the cord, beads and other bits and just have a go and see what I could make. Already I'm itching to try more than just the basic knots, but experience has taught me that I'll give up on a new craft If I don't fully understand the basics. This book gives you all the basics and more, progressively moving onto more complex knots and suggesting ways of using them in more adventurous pieces. To be recommended to beginners and the more experienced alike.

I used this product for learning how to make necklaces and bracelets for sale. This is my second purchase and was for a grandchild who also wanted to know how to knot for jewellery. Instructions are clear.

For anyone wanting to learn this intricate art of knotting this is a super book to start with, easy text and lovely clear illustrations.
