Well made half pad. I did experience slipping with it, which was frustrating as that was part of the reason I chose to purchase this pad. While riding in it I could tell it was a great shock absorber and initially my horse was very comfortable in it, until it began to slip backwards. Was not as thick as I expected, and the pressure on my horse's shoulders and beneath the panels at the deepest part of the seat did not disperse as well as with a sheepskin or firm memory foam half pad. There was still significant pressure points in these areas with this half pad. I am hoping with a better fitting saddle I will be able to use this half pad, but I don't believe it to be appropriate for improving saddle fit. The back edge is quite long and extends past the edge of my AP saddle pad even when the half pad is placed past the front edge of the AP pad. Not a huge deal but may be a problem with a short backed horse.

Was not super impressed, the material did have some padding however for the price point I expected it to be a lot better. I have a bareback pad made with the same squishy/rubber underneath and while granted it is more comfortable than say a $20 cheap fleece half pad - for almost $80 I could not justify keeping it.It is rather long - my close contact is 17" and I had a good 3+ inches left behind which put the rubber top piece at the wrong spots. If you had a larger saddle I am sure this would fit much better. Not sure where the "therapeutic gel padding" was since it was mesh fabric, rubber top and foam padding?I did want to add that if this pad had been around $40-48 I would have kept it

Love this gel pad. Really great for my horses back and keeps my saddle from moving! Fits nicely under my saddle I have a 16.5” and there’s plenty of room for bigger saddles. It has a very nice arch in the front for high withers which is awesome. Great for jumping and the impact on his back during it!

Great quality. It’s put together really well, doesn’t slip, and the gel pockets sit exactly where they should under my saddle. Comfortable for the horse and rider as well which I wasn’t expecting. The only thing I didn’t like was that the back extends a bit too long past the gel part which makes it a bit big for my saddle blankets. But all in all it’s a great half pad.

Started using this pad with my western saddle about two weeks ago. I will do an update in a couple of months. My horse to seems to be comfortable. 1 inch pad felt pad. It also is a quality product and have several I keep in rotation but, this mare seemed to be more sensitive and I felt like she would respond better with closer contact so that's the reason for my purchase. So far so good

Wonderful product that truly made my horses feel better and complimented the training exercises. Happy horses make for more successful, consistent training. Top quality product and I love that they stand behind their products!

Love this pad. I bought it as a show pad for saddleseat. No slipping. Love that it comes off the withers just with the way it is built. I plan to buy another one for schooling.

Lovely pad will buy again when this one wears out! Does not slip and I love that it's thin enough to still feel my horse. 4 stars because it only comes in one size and has about 5-6in of excess material hanging out behind and around the seat of my saddle.
