Tranesca Bluetooth Adapter Receiver Compatible with Bose Sounddock and Other 30 pin Music Docking Station

What a shame. I really wanted this to work. It takes forever to pair and once it does, no sound comes from the soundock. The red and blue LED's flash 3 times in a row, then stops and then flashes 3 times again. This goes on and on and on.Ok so maybe my Bose Soundock is to blame. I tried it on an old iHome that I used to use with my iPod and still no go. In fact, it does the same thing. After 10 or 12 attempts, it finally pairs but there is no sound.As a final step, I unpaired everything and used a different sound source. Instead of my phone, I used an iTouch. Same thing.I opened the unit up and it appears as though there is a damaged area on the main IC. It looks either burned or glued. It's hard to tell but there is definitely something there that's not on any other part of the circuitry.

I must say, I have yet to try a product from Tranesca that did not work perfectly. They must have ferocious quality control because, the type of small devices I have tried have all been flawless. This product converts my little JBL speaker deck from something that only fits the old style 16 pin connection for iPod to a Bluetooth connection. Delightful, because I had stopped using this system because I couldn’t control it remotely and I still love my iPod. I’ve read that this company uses a much higher quality chip which accounts for their consistently well-working products and I would imagine that this is probably true. Now I’m really hoping that for their next amazing accomplishment they’ll come up with something that will convert an older i-device (or any device for that matter) to something that will SEND signal via Bluetooth. PLEASE!

I have an old Pioneer powered speaker with Apple 30 pin docks. Unfortunately it did not work for that speaker (model XW-NAC1-K) but it already has Bluetooth so not an issue. I also have an old Belkin dock with speaker jack to plug in to a stereo and that worked perfectly.Super easy to use even without any instructions. When you plug in the adapter it will flash blue and red until you pair your Bluetooth device then it will turn blue and you are paired.I’m knocking a star off for the partial compatibility only. I was given this unit to try out to test compatibility with the 30 pin docks I have in the house.

We have an older Bose SoundDock, but once we updated our iPhones, we had to buy an adapter for the new lightning connector. This worked fine except that we had to take the cases off our phones for the connection to work. This was fine for awhile, but we are lazy people and just stopped doing it. I was all ready to buy a brand new wireless speaker when I thought, "Gee. I wonder if they make a Bluetooth adapter for just this sort of thing?" Lo and behold, they do! Bought this little adapter and it's perfect! Our phones connected right away (only one phone can connect at a time though). And now we can use our Bose SoundDock again! Thank you!!

Hit and miss reviews. Gave a try on multiple systems. No go on any. It appears to connect, but cannot produce sound. Prove me otherwise, please.There are scant trouble shooting resources for the situation of connection without sound.I feel like I wasted $ and time. No "fierce" quality control when it doesn't work. Or if I cant figure it out, then we can say the item or technology isn't intuitive.Conclusion: fails its purpose. Dont buy.

This is seriously easy to use. Works with my Bose and although I was hoping it would work with my old Zune Kicker, it's still awesome. I actually did a work around with the kicker, so I still use it, just not in the traditional sense. Worked with my 30 pin and the sound was great. A little device that does a great job!

This product is great. After owning a BOSE SoundDock, one of the most inconvenient things about upgrading was that the charging port changed. This meant that upgrading a phone caused me to lose my expensive sound system. That is no longer the case and this product was able to breath new life into an older, but still great, product. By allowing bluetooth to connect instead of relying on the 30-pin connector, the SoundDock can be used with any type, or even multiple, phones. What an awesome idea!

I tried this little Bluetooth adapter on my older iLive speaker dock which is not Bluetooth and has the 30 pin plug in. I didn’t use it anymore because of this but plugged this little adapter in and paired it with my iPod and it works great, turning my speaker into a Bluetooth one. Tranesca comes out with very good and functional devices.
