Size:6-Cup The Moka Express is the original stove-top espresso maker from Bialetti, created in 1933. Most Italian natives agree that stove-top preparation makes the most delicious espresso. The cast aluminum pot features the distinctive eight-sided shape that diffuses heat perfectly to enhance the aroma of your coffee. To use, simply fill the lower chamber with water, fill the filter with your favorite espresso grounds, and boil on the stove-top. As an added bonus, this set includes three white rubber replacement gaskets and one filter plate.48 ounce capacity

Absolutely the best little espresso maker.
No need to be a barista to make a very smooth cup of espresso with this little pot. I have literally never had espresso this perfect at home before. I purchased the 3 cup version and it produces about 5 ounces of espresso. I can't say enough great things about this Moka pot. Also, I have thoroughly enjoyed the use of Lavazza Caffe Espresso medium roast coffee along with bottled water with this product. It has a very smooth flavor. I hope this review helps someone make the choice to buy one. Enjoy!

6 Cup Moka Pot is awesome - Thanks Traveling Robert on Youtube for the tip
Moka Pot arrived on time. Opened the packaging and the pot with the extra o-rings and filter was provided as advertised. Read the instructions and everything seemed simple enough. Cleaned pot for first use with mild dish soap. Cleaned o-ring very well since it had a slight rubber smell but it went away after first use. Added water to the base to the fill line, added my Cafe Bustelo, screwed on the top firmly and put on the burner...after 5 minutes is started to boil and soon after I had my coffee. Of course I did it Miami Style Cuban Coffee and it was awesome. I have used it 6 times since it arrived and it has worked perfectly. No leaks nothing.I got this to use in my RV. It is nice in that I can make coffee or Cuban Coffee on the gas stove top even when I am boon-docking or simply at a rest stop. I actually find it easier to use than my table top expresso maker...I think when that gives out I will just get another Moka Pot.FYI, read the instructions, it will help. Never wash it in the dishwasher because the metal will tarnish due to the harsh chemicals in the soap. Do not turn/tighten via the handle since it seems like it would break and BTW the handle does stay cool enough to handle after the pot is done brewing. Make sure you tighten the base firmly before use...the cold metal will expand when it is heated and if the top and bottom are not firmly (not overly tight just firm) tight when the metal expands it may leak or loosen upEnjoy!

Pretty Good!
I think some people might find it useful to consider before purchasing that the 6-cup moka pot supposedly holds about 9.5 to 10 ounces of water if filled to the bottom of its release valve. I haven't verified that by measuring. However, the end result, after brewing, seems to be about 7 to 7 1/3 ounces of espresso. I say so because I can fit the espresso into a standard-size coffee cup with a little room left over to carry it without spilling, when I'm done brewing. That's a great portion to serve 1-3 people, which is exactly what I wanted. As for the quality of flavor, if you watch some short videos on brewing with a moka pot beforehand, you'll do well right away, I think. I've had worse cups of espresso from national and international chains; as always, a lot depends on the care that goes into making it. I tend to drink it straight-up or in 'Americanos,' and with this the texture is a bit different but still agreeable. The only problem with mine is that it arrived with a chipped, cracked lid handle.

OMG! Finally! A cup of real espresso!!!
Ok, I'm not an Italian or even European but I know what I like and I love this little Moka pot. I got it yesterday and per some of the reviews, I made a pot and let it sit over night to season the pot. Today I made my first ever espresso and I must say, now I know what all the fuss is about. I've had the swill at those high priced coffee shops and HANDS DOWN this beat every one of them. I used two scoops of freshly ground espresso beans and waited till it stopped gurgling. I do like the flavored creamers so I put a dollop of that in my cup and I could not be more in love. This will be an afternoon ritual, from now on, to try and beat back the 2 'O clock urge to take a nap. The little pot is very well made and did not leak and the handle stayed cool to the touch. I might recommend that you move the pot to the side of the burner to keep the handle away from the heat if this is a problem for you. I have a glass top, cook top and the back burners are a bit smaller so it was not an issue for me.

Great, but a little knowledge is essential.
Works perfectly if you follow the directions. Beware some of the YouTube videos out there. Tighten the top so it doesn’t leak. Don’t melt the handle (did I have o tell you that), don’t boil the water (it is NOT a percolater). Heat the water, the air expands forcing the hot water UP through the filer and into the upper chamber. Be aware too that the cups are espresso cups of 2 oz. Not the 8 oz America liquid measure cups. Beware this too. If you start drinking this, you will never go back to the American brew!

I am now a moka pot fan.
Makes super strong coffee that will put hair on your chest.I prepared my coffee as per Bialetti instructions and never had a problem yet:- Fill up camber with cold/cool water. Stop right below safety valve.- Fill up with finely ground coffee (I use the "largest" fine setting on my coffee grinder)- Tap and level the grounds, do not tamp.- Screw on top- Set burner to medium heat.- wait for 5-10 minutes.I also use this with my backpacking camp stove. Just set the flame to the lowest setting.I use french roasted beans and I get good crema out of this. It dissipates quickly though. Still good coffee.

and honestly your best bet when buying one
It's the original moka pot, and honestly your best bet when buying one. Bialettis are extremely sturdy and will last almost forever with good care. The three gaskets are nice so you won't worry about having to buy replacements for a very, very long time. That being said, make sure the handle is well away from the flames, keep it completely dry after use, and don't put it in the dishwasher. I'd also run it 2 or 3 times before drinking from it to get rid of the factory smell.

Completely Corroded
After like 5 uses following instructions very carefully, this pot became completely corroded on the base. Aluminum and hot liquids aren't the healthiest combo to begin with, so I'll be throwing this out rather than exposing myself to serious health risks.
