Amazing Love

I found this older copy because I was told the title was just, 'Amazing Love,' there are other reprints of this where they add an extra word or two in the title. I got a very old yet very readable hard cover book for 7 dollars, I just wanted to see what it had to say and I was right it is just more of the same. I read the Hiding Place and Tramp for the Lord and mostly all of this material was in the second book, TFTL. This would make a great gift for someone who has never read any of her books. Corrie is very transparent as far as Christians go and I learned a lot from her because she is honest about her mistakes. This book is not like the first two I read which were like a journey through parts of her life. This book is like a collection of testimonies, each chapter is a separate testimony from her heart as a witness to the power of God's love.

I bought this to read more about what she wrote about forgiveness unfortunately a larger part of the book tends to be about Evangelism. It is ok but not what I was expecting from the cover and the description!

This book is a wonderful representation of Cory’s work and heart for the Lord. I loved it!

I have all of Corrie's books and read and read and re-read them. Her words of of inspiration and encouragement are timely throughout the years no matter what changes come into the world. Amazing Love, is a book to give to those you want to share the Love of The Lord with, but who may not want to listen to you. It is a non-threatening way for people to see how much God loves them through her own true stories of unconditional love in the midst of being persecuted over and over. Yet, she does not retaliate, but speaks God's unconditional love for her and all people and lives it by her actions and words.Consider getting copies of this book to hand out to those you want to share The Lord with, but are not sure how to do it. You won't be disappointed. God's Love that will embrace them and help them to let go of their own pain and reach out to a God who loves them unconditionally and who will embrace them in the midst of their pain if they will allow Him to.

Corrie ten Boom experienced the worst hell on this earth in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany. How could she possibly survive? Her faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior delivered her from those hellish camps with an even stronger faith than before she entered them. She spent the rest of her life teaching others the eternal joy of everlasting life through the blood of Jesus Christ. That blood He shed for you and me for the forgiveness of our sins and assuring us of eternal life as a Child of God! I rejoice in having read her book and recommend it to all who seek the presence of our Heavenly Father in our lives!

i learned so much about how to better myself for God. I had no idea what to think of my first Corrie Ten Boom book.She covered so many aspects of life with love, teaching without belittling, training in a gentle way to be more Christlike BUT WITHOUT AN ELITIST ATTITUDE. She just freely gave of herself with courage, and helped me so much by doing so. I pray for her twice each day along with all of us in the world good and bad behaving, hoping if it is God's will, that He will bring this knowledge to us all to be able to beautify His incredible Creations. God made the wolf and the Lamb and has His mind on both, but the Lamb has his mind on God so it has a reciprocal relationship with God and therefore stronger than the wolf who has his attention only on the Lamb. My wish is that we all learn to be like the Lamb. Just imo.

Her ability to forgive her captors and her witness to the world is proof that God is a loving God and can help us all to forgive when we can't in our own power.

What Corrie Ten Boom writes is always worth reading. It is never the same story but the lessons she teaches are good and based on experiential Christian beliefs from doctrine. Her life lines up with her beliefs.

The faith of Corrie ten boom is an inspiration. She has experienced awful treatment and suffered great loss but, through it all, knew that Jesus was and is always beside her. No matter how bad or tough life is, Jesus had it worse and, as the old hymn says - ask the Saviour to help you, He will carry you through.

This is an interesting read which gives insight into Corries life post war. She gives snippets of her account of her amazing journey with God. Read The Hiding Place before you read Amazing Love and it will help to understand where she has come from and her position to speak so boldly about her beliefs.

A wonderful, moving story. I know I will read it again and again.

Corrie's words always seem to carry an authority and her love for The Lord, her faith and joy always come through her writing. I love the way she uses her real life experiences to teach vital biblical truths. Because of that, it is easy to relate to what she is talking about. Moreover, she never shys away from the truth and it is these truths which both convict and encourage me to move deeper into Christ.
