Fast and easy to use. Covers the critical aspects for safe drinking water,
This is the second year that I have used this product to test the well water at my cabin. It gives us and our guests peace of mind knowing the quality of the water being used and consumed. This is a quick reference test and you should have a water lab perform a test if this test shows ant readings above the government guidelines for safe potable water. Ti only takes a few minutes to do the test and the cost is well worth the piece of mind that we have in knowing our water is safe to use.

Test that water
This test is very easy to use. The instructions are clear and simple to follow. Read EVERYTHING before you get started so that you can prepare yourself and have everything you need ready to go. You will need a clean container (I use a clean glass that I rinse a few times so there is no soap residue or anything) with some water in it. You'll use this to dip a couple of the test strips into. Also, go ahead and get a timer ready to go. The tests require certain times for dipping the strips and waiting for them to do their thing. All of the tests give you results within a few minutes EXCEPT for the e.coli/bacteria test. For that test, you fill the test tube with water, give it a good shake to mix the growth medium, and leave it somewhere that it won't be disturbed for 48 hours. If the water remains purple, you're good to good, if it turns yellow, you have a problem. This test allows us to enjoy our well water without worrying about contamination. We paid just under $10 this time for this test back in May, which was quite a bit cheaper than a lot of the other tests available. I noticed today that the price has jumped up to about $25.

It’s okay
Testing the water in Our well. It’s a little complicated at first but it does work.

Easy to use for a cost effective price!
Product was easy to use, quick, and contained all the components needed to perform all the testing indicated for a price below my local health department's. It seems that some people may not have received all the test strips or the iron tablet needed to conduct their tests, but my kit was all inclusive and worked perfectly.

Nitrate Levels?
This product worked well. The only struggle is interpreting our nitrate result as the strip turned a strong orange color instead of one of the pinks that are on the directions to interpret the result.

Know your well is safe?
I have used these kits twice. The first time I compared the results to local university labs.I found that the results were the same, especially for the bacteria. So, a year later I bought another kit and felt confident with its results.Next year I'll use buy another.

Good product
I bought two of these, one for before my new water filter and one for after. It definitely showed a difference which means the test works and so does the filter.

Misspellings and paperwork is missing test result ranges
I bought this test kit which tests for bacteria, chlorine, nitrate, nitrite, copper, iron, ph, hardness, and alkalinity. The problem is that they give you a little piece of paper that has a "water test result ranges" but as you can see from the picture alkalinity is not included. So you're giving me a test AND STRIPS to test alkalinity but not telling me what range the results should be in. Not very good. Also there are misspellings in the instructions and in step number three of the bacteria test it says to "fill the water where the 5mg line is marked". It's not mg it's mL. It's things like this concern me about the accuracy of these test results.
