The Lord of the Rings Trilogy: Music from the Motion Pictures Arranged for Big Note Piano

My 11 y/o son loves LOTR, and started learning piano several months ago. I found this book online and he's been playing it fairly regularly ever since. My only complaint is that the book doesn't open up flat, so the pages are constantly trying to close while he's using it at the piano. I also wish there were more songs in there that we enjoyed from the movie, but it seems like the only one he likes is the Rohan one. The rest of them in the book are slower, less thematic.

I think it is an excellent book for a 2yr + beginner. Some of the timing can be tricky but once you get the hang of it, it can be an enjoyable playing experience. Definitely not for a 2 yr beginner unless they are a prodigy.

This was for my daughter. She said it was fairly easy to play. She said it's better suited for theater music.

Item can as what what pictured but the cover is badly chewed up. Came in same package as another book in perfect condition. So it was put in package damaged. Difficult to give as a gift.

My son couldn't stop humming the LOTR prologue theme, so I got him the sheet music. Best way to cure an earworm. The book and printing are high quality, although the binding does not lay flat, making it hard to prop open on the piano.

This is not for a 2year+ beginner, maybe for a 2 months beginner. But it is good for beginner sight reading.
