Dodgy quality but a clever solution to the Infinity amp problem.
I bought this kit for my 2004 Ram with the remote amped Infinity system. I wanted to install a Sony double DIN stereo but keep the rest of the original system. The first time it went together pretty quickly, the instructions are a little vague but I figured it out. Not my first stereo switch out! Unfortunately, the first unit failed me. Distorted audio, volume shifting up and down at random, and the little attenuator screw was at an odd angle and completely unresponsive, just turning freely. So I sent it back for a replacement. The second seems to work fine. I just installed it as-is, I didn't mess with the attenuator. The volume level is fine, same as the last vehicle I had the Sony installed in. So it works fine for now, we'll see. It's clearly one of these electronic gadgets that was well designed, then the schematics were sent off to some sketchy Chinese factory for assembly. Like so many of these devices, it's a great solution made risky by poor quality.

It does work on 2005 Ram1500 with infinity sound system!!
Not sure why they list that it does not, but it absolutely does!!Bought a new head unit for my truck. Mainly because my front door speakers haven't worked since I bought it and the simplest solution outside of checking the wiring was hoping the channels went bad on my factory head unit. (Not the case, but that's a story for another day). When I installed the new head unit I got power, but no sound. At all. Not static. Not beeping. Not anything. Did some research and found out I was lucky enough to have the first year they introduced digital Amps into the Ram line. Yaaaaaay. 🙄My options were not great. The only option there was that didn't require me rip stuff out and rewire was this control module. But it says it doesn't work on my truck. But the reviews says it does. So bought it on a whim and prayer. Unhooked everything I already did..... Boooooo. Then rebooked it all up with this module. Didn't even put the head unit back in the hole till I tested it. As soon as I hooked the battery back and turned on the unit I could hear very faint static. Hit seek on the head unit and sound was back!!! Not in the front door speakers. But that's a different issue.TL;DR: This unit definitely works for the 2005 Ram 1500 with infinity sound system.**UPDATE** I HAD TO PULL THE MODULE AND MY HEAD UNIT OUT AS IT WAS SHORTING MY ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OUT. NOT SURE HOW OR WHY, BUT MY GAUGES WERE DROPPING OFF, MY AC WAS QUITTING, MY TRUCK WOULDNT START INTERMITTENTLY, AND MY DASH CLUSTER WAS GOING NUTS WITH DINGING ALL OVER AND WARNING LIGHTS. AS SOON AS I OULLED THE UNIT, EVERYTHING STOPPED AND WAS BACK TO NORMAL.

2004 Dodge 3500 Infinity Package.
Great Product and works just as it should, only reason I am giving 4 vs 5 Star is the price, this thing is way more money than it should be and Amazon has the best price available for it so buy it HERE. I installed this on a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 with the Inifinity amp, this unit is needed if you want to be able to use all 7 speakers as the front 5 speakers are split into 3 in the dash that account for High freq, so all the voices and things like that and the other 2 in the front 2 doors are for Low Freq... so bass only. If you get a by-pass harness you won't be able to use the front 3 speakers in the dash.As far as installation goes I could see this being really really confusing if this is your first attempt at wiring anything especially audio/video cables. However if you have wired surround sound before or other car stereos you should be just fine as the instructions are pretty straight forward, but be warned some experience is a must here. Its a great piece of equipment and when installed correctly it does work as designed, I have tested the fade functions, mute... etc it all works great and with my new DVD units speakers sound much better than with the dinky stock Chrysler CD-Unit. If you are looking to still use the Infinity installed amp than this is a must!

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 w/7 speaker Infinity system
I could not be happier with this purchase!!!I used this to replace the factory NAV (RB4) head with the Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX. My goal was to add iPhone integration (Apple CarPlay) as well as a backup camera. Also, having a better NAV system w/map would be nice. The unit I received was not as pictured and didn't have the RCA jacks. This was not a problem as the harness for the Pioneer had both RCA and speaker wire outputs.Lay the harnesses for the head unit and CHTO-02 out on your workbench, and use the installation manuals for both to match up and connect the wires. I soldered my connections. Install it and test it. Everything worked first time. After the initial install, plug in the ASWC-1 steering wheel control (sold separately) and follow the instructions to 'discover' your truck. The CHTO-02 is completely prewired for the ASWC-1, so you literally only need to plug in the black box. I wanted to move the button that selects the input source to left center button on the wheel, and make the right center button mute the speakers. Followed the instructions to reprogram the wheel and it works perfectly.

No directions, works fine so far
It works great so far. I gave it 4 stars because it did not come with any wiring diagram/direction.

Overpriced
It works great for a 2003 dodge ram 2500, but I think it is way over priced. $50 would be reasonable.. $100 is way out of line.

Very Nice! But be careful!
I have a 2003 Ram 2500 (this kit works for 03-05).Install Instructions were provided, however I used the PDF download instructions downloaded onto my phone for ease of use. Instructions are plain, no illustrations or exploded views are provided. I had one significant issue that has since been resolved. Several connections are left unused in the process, and there is no instruction to tape them off. I had severe shorting issues, which caused everything from airbag lights to a complete shut-down. Pulled everything back apart and sealed all unused connections and haven't had any issues so far.***Was told by a Metra CSR that if you are running a tuner that the unit will not work correctly, though this claim has been unfounded as it has operated flawlessly after the wiring was fixed!***
