Humble Bee 110 Goatskin Beekeeping Gloves with Extended Sleeves

Great skin protection!
I don’t have bees. I have a terrible allergy to Timothy hay and that is what my sweet goats eat! It’s awful. The length of these gloves allow me to handle the hay without exposing any skin. Amazing. I know it’s super morbid that the leather is goatskin (don’t tell my girls!), but it’s incredibly soft and supple; not bulky or cumbersome like so many other work gloves. Allows me to use my fingers instead of seemingly trying to work in mittens. They’re beautiful and (also morbid) my goats LOVE being scratched with these gloves, especially on their faces. I know, right? I also love the elastic tension. Not too much. Fabulous product for my needs! : )

Bees can still sting through the leather
I love the length of the sleeve and the looseness. The glove snugs over my hand fitting "like a glove". The little finger and thumb are a bit long for my hands but I felt I could move my fingers and grasp objects as needed.I was pulling frames to harvest some honey which of course a few bees took exception and it surprised me to feel a sting on my finger. I looked down and sure enough that little girl was pushing that stinger through the leather and got me. I still like the gloves but the leather was just not quite enough to keep the stinger away from me.Overall this is a well made product.

Good Stuff. Fits Well
Good Stuff. Fits Well. No stings. One of my hives has gotten a bit feisty lately. I needed a glove upgrade. These are really good. The leather is a little thin, compared to work gloves, but that allows you to have the dexterity you need. While building nucs, I had several stings to the gloves. I could see the stinger stuck in the leather, but I never felt anything. The forearms are not tight at all. There is plenty of room for the sleeves of my ventilated jacket. Sizing is a bit difficult to pin down. Here is what I know: I wear a large in a glove like the Tillman TrueFit. I ordered the XL in the Bee gloves. They are a little loose, but not bad. For me, that is much better than being tight. My hand is about 7.5" from wrist line to the tip of my longest finger.

will and have purchased again. now worries frm Humble bee.
Nice gloves but can barely get them on. The forearm is not big enough to get my hands through to get to the nice gloves. The gloves, themselves fit fine. However it is next to impossible to get my hands through the forearm protection to get into the nice gloves. The so called tailored is not a ood thing, but the gloves are great. Had to return and Humble Bee sent me another pair. These are a little large, but I think they will work just as well. Thanks Humble Bee. Also bought a full suit the first was to short from crotch to shoulder and I couldn't bend over. I can let my grand daughter use this when she comes to visit. Just recieved and tried on the new one. Real nice suit.

Very Protective
The gloves are made of very good quality leather and canvas. Very easy to work with, nice quality leather, and I love the extra long protection up the arms, along with the elastic. I won't be worried about a bee creeping in. I ordered a large in the gloves, thinking the leather would be tighter, but ended up purchasing the medium as well. The mediums fit perfect with some room. My husband can use the large, he likes the extra protection, and these are much nicer than what he has. Thank you for your quick shipping and fulfillment.

Quality Gloves
These are well made gloves. I bought them when the price went down, so I feel I got a bargain. They are thick enough, but soft so dexterity is not compromised (too much). The difference in these gloves is that they put part of the leather on the under side of the wrist, which gives added protection from stings if a bee happens to get caught under your wrist when working or lifting the hive.

Very nice quality gloves. Worth the money.
Excellent high quality gloves with very soft goat leather and ventilated wrists. Worth the money. I think they run true to size for a man’s XL but my adult son says they run slightly smaller than standard XL sizing. —not “too big or baggy”— he said they fit great and were very comfortable. —so if you wear Large-XL these should fit you great. Worth the purchase price.

Not a good fit
I've bought the Humble Bee 112-XS Beekeeping Gloves with Ventilated Cuffs in the past and they fit great. They aren't available right now, so I thought I'd try these thinking that the sizing would be close to the other Humble Bee gloves. They don't fit well at all. The fingers are about 3/4" too long which makes working in the hives difficult. I'm back to wearing the old, crispy pair I bought before. Finding gloves to fit women beekeepers with small hands is a real problem. Thought I'd found my answer. Sadly no.

Good quality but ensure you measure before ordering.
Gloves are good quality. Only problem is that I guessed my size. Having long fingers I chose large but I have about 1/4" overlapping my fingertips. So would strongly advise you to measure before buying.

Not sting proof!!!
Used twice - bees sting the cuff and die pretty fast as their stingers get stuck in the material. On the second use I got stung through the leather twice, once on the back of the hand and also on the wrist. Would not recommend for use with bees, so, what's the point in these. I will be asking for a full refund!!

Bee Keeping
The best bee keeping gloves - extra large is extra large and was the perfect present for someone with very large hands.

ordered xxxl, my hands are xl, these fit ...
ordered xxxl, my hands are xl, these fit perfectly, so either my hands have grown, which I doubt, or these were marked up wrong, there is no size info on the gloves, which are purfect.
