KILLER 3-PACK (STEELBOOK)
G**Y
A trio of films about skeletons in closets, crawlspaces, and other dark places
Killer 3 DVD Pack featuring Ed Gein (2001), Gacy (2002), and Dahmer (2002) was surprisingly good, considering these are low-budget films. Performances were excellent in all three films and the stories well written, except for Ed Gein. But in its defence, material on Gein is lacking in comparison with Gacy and Dahmer. Still, imagining Gein's character was implausible and ridiculous at times, which detracted from the horrific reality that shattered the perceived innocence and idealism of life in rural USA in the 1950s.Although these movies are very light in gore, which wasn't the case in reality, chills are abundant throughout as the personal lives of these killers are probed. Dahmer's writer/director took a sympathetic approach in presenting one of the most disturbed individuals--who devised and delivered demented, devilish deeds--in modern times. Sorry, but I disagree with trying to show Dahmer as human. Dahmer even admitted that from age 14 or 15 he fantasized bestial, carnal, unspeakable acts on a regular basis. Ed Gein offered a glimpse into this grave robber's mind that just doesn't seem realistic. However, the visuals of human artifacts Gein collected and crafted into everyday tools and decor is quite bizarre and unnerving. Gacy seemed to stick to facts the most, and in my opinion was the best film in this set. If a foul stench is coming from your neighbor's crawlspace, be wary of what may lie beneath.First Look Studios (now Millennium Entertainment) 2009 Limited Edition of Killer 3 DVD Pack contains a few extras for Dahmer, no English subtitles on any of the films, widescreen format, and good audio/video quality. This set cost $30, and I wouldn't recommend paying more.

Good stuff
All great movies. Love the steel book. It was used, a couple disks were lightly scratched but all played without error. Only complaint would be the difficulty required to remove the disks, it's a very snug fit.
