I used this book to do a prayer breakfast. the prayers were very inspiring and the pictures were really touching

The richness of these selected prayers, that are representative of the black prayer tradition, is not only inspiring to read and nourishing to one's soul, but is a source of wonderful insight into the depth and diversity that's descriptive of the African American community! To read the index of authors and topics is as though one is reading through African American history. It's worth the read! It's truly a treasure!
