Let Me Address the Naysayers...
After 7 years of continuous service from the last Logitech Gaming Mouse I bought (can't even remember the model name anymore) I didn't even bother looking at any other brands I'm already sold on Logitech for life. My last mouse was pretty basic so I was really excited to have all the programmable buttons at my disposal, which were easy to program and work flawlessly on Windows 7. I can play WoW one handed now in less intense situations, and for dungeons and raids I'm having to look down at my keyboard much less. Response time is lightning fast and the mouse just feels good in my hand. A USB extension is included which I plug the receiver into and place near the mouse, I don't have any scientific proof that this helps response time but I cannot detect any lag. The two main complaints I see over and over is that (1) the battery sucks and (2) that the scroll wheel is "loose." (1) BUY A BETTER BATTERY, it's that simple, I don't know of a device in existence that is going to include top of the line batteries. The battery is not integrated, put whatever battery you want in there. The included battery is 1900 Mah, batteries exceeding 3000 Mah can be purchased for about $20 for a 4 pack all over Amazon. (2) There is a button which changes the scroll wheel from your standard "click and lock" mode, or a free-spinning mode, personally I love having the free spin mode for browsing, when I game, I press the button to put it back to click mode. READ THE FRIGGIN' INSTRUCTIONS!UPDATE: I wanted to really put the included battery to the test so I played WoW all day virtually non-stop (OK you got me I do that anyways) with the mouse's power set to "Max Gaming" and the polling rate at 1000, by the time I couldn't keep my eyes open any more 16 hours of non-stop gaming had elapsed and I still had 2 of 5 bars left in the on-screen battery meter. Charge time on USB 3.0 is about 1 1/2 hrs. This battery is more than sufficient and as I said, if that's not good enough for you, better batteries are available.

Best mouse I've ever owned
Got this for $49.99 on sale and it's easily the best mouse I've ever owned. I love that it has a wireless receiver with a cord long enough so that the mouse is easily picked up all the way across the room from my computer. I also love that the mouse switches to being a wired mouse when plugged in, making it more responsive when I'm playing games. (Some mice stay in wireless mode even when plugged in and are only charging, not sending/receiving signal)I use most of the buttons on the mouse regularly, and I like the layout of most of them. The four on the side for your right thumb are great. I can easily feel when they're pressed and when they aren't. The two on the top behind the scroll wheel are also great. One switches the scroll wheel from one mode to the other (free scroll to staggered scroll), and the other I use to switch profiles. The three buttons near the right pointer finger are the buttons I'm not too fond of. The shape and distance I have to reach to get to them are not enjoyable, and I rarely ever use them. Keep in mind that I have small hands and stubby fingers, so that may be different if you have bigger hands/longer, slimmer fingers. The software for the mouse is easy to use and works well. Setting macros for the mouse buttons is simple and intuitive, and saving multiple profiles works well. Switching DPI can be set to mouse buttons (I have it set to the three buttons I don't use often) if you need to change frequently. The only complaint I have is that my mouse forgets my profiles sometimes and I have to redo all the buttons layouts and profiles, and sometimes the battery gets hot while plugged in (like it's being charged too quickly or being overcharged), but I think that stems more from the fact that I've had the mouse for almost 4 years now and it's starting to get old. I'd honestly love to just buy another one of these whenever this one finally bites the dust.

MAC OS X USER - FREE DRIVERS - DOTA 2
Was hard finding out the answer to my specific needs which was...Does the mouse work with Mac OS X? YesDoes the mouse buttons work with Dota 2? Yes (explain below)Is there free software available for G700s to be compatible with Mac? Yes. (Available at logitech gaming website) and its works great, you can customize EVERYTHING.Pros:Excellent Quality- Responds great, I don't use a mouse pad.Wireless- Wireless is just as good as having it connected when charging.Great Weight- To me it is.Aerodynamic- Feels great in your hand.Buttons- Easy to push when you want to.Cons:Aesthetically- WHY... WHY did you add these awful graphics and design, I actually thought I ordered the 700 and was kinda disappointed getting this because the only REAL difference is the cheap tacky graphics, the stealth black was better in so many ways... I am way too lazy to return just to get the black one and I got this for like 50$..Anyway I love the mouse, hate what it looks like, takes getting used to but gets easier, especially after you customize it.DOTA 2 MOUSE KEYS:I am on Mac and so the mouse buttons don't naturally work and in order to set hot keys to the buttons in Dota 2 you need to:Download the gaming software for your mouse off the logitech gaming site.Open the program and click on your mouse on screen to customize your buttons.Choose a button on the mouse and select "keystroke" and assign it any key on your keyboard. Then you would go into Dota 2 and open your Macros in game.Click an ability to edit the and click the same button you made the "keystroke" for on your keyboard. So basically if you assign a button on your mouse to the keystroke "Enter"and go into dota and click that same button to make it a shortcut for an ability it will list the button as Ënter" but you can click the button instead to cast it.Don't know if this makes sense or helps anyone but thats how I got it to work on Mac with Dota 2.
