Selecting good informational books on frogs and toads
A very good fit used with other young children's books on frogs and toads. I have a very selective list for first and second graders and fitting informational and fictional texts in a science/literature unit and this is a good new addition.

Great for 4,5, or 6 year olds!
I bought this for my grandson who loves frogs right now. I bought along with Frog and Toad Are Friends by Arnold Lobel fiction book. Being a former K and 1st grade teacher, I love the couple fiction with non-fiction. If you tell children a story, they can relate to non-fiction books more readily. He loved the colorful photos and we both learned a lot about frogs and toads. The questioning format is an excellent strategy that is used throughout the book.

Great nonfiction text
I am a 1st grade teacher and used this nonfiction text during our Frog and Toad unit. It helped the students differentiate between frogs and toads. Well written and highly recommended.
