The Sims: Complete Collection - PC

An extremely great value for anyone who doesn't already own The Sims or has the game with only one or two expansion packs. I was pretty surprised/relieved when I found this considering beforehand, collecting the game with all its expansion packs would have cost you well over 100$ as the Mega Deluxe packs or more than double separately. I had already experienced the game before but being cheap, I wasn't willing the shell out the money even during the game's first set of consolidations. Now when this came out, I knew it was time to pony up. It is a remarkable deal, the original Sims plus ALL 7 of its expansion packs dealt at the lovely price of under 40$. Considering it would have cost up to around 300$ for all this at one point, it is a considerable deal, made possible only by Sims 2's success. If you already love the Sims without actually owning it, this it what you should get. If you haven't played the Sims before (!) and are curious about all the hubbub surrounding it, this is the package to get, no question about it.If you were looking for a review about the actual game, you should look at the pages of the original Sims and all its respective expansion packs. There's no point telling you which expansion packs are better or worse on here because you can't install them separately with the Complete Collection; they all install together and there is no customising which ones to leave out. That is a drawback if you already know you hate or can't stand one or two of the expansion packs or are trying to save hard drive space, you cannot not just install one or two of them, they're all together. This could be relevant to you, but it was relatively irrelevant to me since none of the expansion packs are overly intrusive (most features can be ignored if you do not wish to use them). There's a sign in Unleashed that you can buy to get rid of animals and keep them from leaving puddles at the ends of the sidewalk. IMHO, all the expansion packs add something new and unique to the Sims experience, so none should be left out anyway.Conclusion: buy this if you like/love/are obsessed with the Sims without actually owning a copy, buy this if you haven't played it but you think you will enjoy the game (how can you not?) purchased at bargain price. Don't buy it if you already know you hate the game or already own all of it because there really isn't anything extra aside from some stuff that can already be downloaded for free online.

Would give 0 star if it was an option. I bought this and was super excited. I opened it after waiting and inside was disc 1, 3, and 4. No disc 2. And inside was an Eminem recovery cd and some disc that you could burn with letters written on it. I didn't bother trying to watch/listen to it in fear of what it might be 🙄. Super disappointing and very annoying. Don't recommend this at all

There's a reason this game started a phenomenon, it's GREAT! Update: a few months after I bought this it just stopped working, wouldn't load. I freaked, thought my disk drive was going out, blah, blah. A bunch of drama ( and months later), I finally figured out that Windows 7 had issued a security update that blocked the game from loading because it thought it was a threat. No notice, or anything, it just won't let it play. After much research I found a work around on Windows & OS. Go into control panel, windows updates, update history, installed updates, then scroll, scroll, scroll, until you find Security Update KB3086255 & delete it. It won't hurt your computer, but it will let the game play. You will have to delete this specific update every time you want to play, but it's easy to do. If your computer tries to reinstall the update too quickly & won't let you stop it, then you may have to unplug the internet when you play ( I have to sometimes ). This is the price we pay for loving classic games! :D If your computer runs less than windows 7 you should be fine. If it runs higher than windows 7, then I don't know if you will be able to play it. Do a bunch of research before you buy if that is the case. Good Luck to all you classic gamers! If you find new information on this, please let us know so we can all keep playing!

Ever since the first "The Sims" game came out and pretty much done everything that could be done to the game, I was curious if they would come out with extras for the game itself. Sure, you get a good starting idea of the game, and you can make your own outfits for the game, if you were really good with either Paint, Photoshop, or Paint Shop Pro. But after a while, you ask yourself... "Isn't there more than this? Isn't there more that can be done to add more excitement to the game?"Back when this game came out, there were literally dozens of websites dedicated to the game. Mostly outfits were made and designed, at first. But later, people figured out how the furniture items were made and how you could make your own furniture concepts, such as sofas, statues, and even add some extra benefits and options to the game. Many people don't know this, but one designer made a furniture item, call the "Rejuvenator", which completely and instantly healed your Sims fully.Well, after a few months, the company made the first expansion to the game called "Livin' Large", which added more outfits, more extras to find, more furniture, and more house extras, such as more wallpaper, fences, etc. A few months later, another expansion came out called "House Party", which added even more furniture, more outfits, extra missions, and more house extras. At this point, it was getting a bit frustrating that all we saw was just more stuff that we, as consumers, could have made ourselves. Then after a few more months, they came out with "Vacation". FINALLY!!! A "REAL" expansion pack that we could sink out teeth into. This time, they redesigned the map system so you not only had more lots to buy, but now some lots allowed you to travel there and actually use your "Money" for a purpose. Plus, this was a good way to meet Sims easily. Plus, you could travel to places, such as the beach, and help your Sim relax, and even find some extras in the game to add to your collection of furniture, clothes, etc... As the years went by, the company came out with 4 more expansion packs later, to add to the other expansion packs. Such updates included the ability to buy your own car, buy pets, buy gifts for your friends, meet stars or become a star, and even learn Magic Spells. After all the expansions came out, some of us couldn't handle buying each expansion pack for the game, since you needed the original game in order to play the expansion packs. Then finally, the company did the right thing and came out with the "Complete Collection", which included the game, and all the expansion packs that you would ever need. This was the game to get.This game includes ALL the expansion packs as well as the game itself. If you enjoyed the game like I did when it first came out over 10 years ago, then you will enjoy this "Complete Collection" for sure. I am glad this game is still available, and for anyone who is as much of a fan of the original game as I am, you will certainly enjoy this.

Really cool but I only get it to work once . You gotta fumble with your computer to play.... which I only had the smarts to figure it out once lol
